Multi-trip insurance

As the name suggests, multi-trip travel insurance is a type of travel insurance policy that covers multiple trips within a calendar year. It’s especially convenient if you’re travelling often because you don’t have to purchase insurance for each trip. It often covers medical emergencies abroad, baggage loss, and other travel-related costs. When you sign up for Metal or Ultra, you'll automatically get multi-trip insurance at no extra cost. You'll also get other types of cover so you can travel the world with peace of mind. Check out our Help Centre for more info on what our travel insurance covers.

When you sign up for Metal or Ultra, you'll get multi-trip cover as part of our comprehensive travel insurance. Our travel insurance covers:

• emergency medical treatment up to £10,000,000 and urgent dental treatment up to £300
• up to £2,000 for excess, deductible, or damage liability fees associated with car rentals
• up to £1,000,000 personal liability coverage for damage or injury caused by you or a third party while you're abroad
• up to £10,000,000 for injuries (excluding those caused by extreme sports), as well as lost, stolen, or damaged sports equipment up to £1,500, including rented sports equipment up to £300
• delayed, damaged, or lost baggage
• delayed or disrupted flights
• up to £500 for the costs of meals, accommodation, communication, transportation, and lost prepaid expenses due to flights that are disrupted or delayed for more than 8 hours on Metal and 4 hours on Ultra if you provide receipts, and up to £350 without receipts
• up to £500 for an emergency passport or visa, as well as associated expenses in the event that it's lost, stolen, or destroyed

Our travel insurance won't cover claims involving:

• impaired judgement caused by excessive alcohol use
• the use of drugs considered illegal in the country you’re travelling to, medication abuse, or the use of legal highs
• self-harm
• lawbreaking in the country you're travelling to
• violations of UK, EU, or USA laws, including sanctions and UN resolutions
• trips to sanctioned countries or against government advice
• events caused by a war or act of war, whether or not one has been declared
• contagious disease
• radioactivity from nuclear fuel, waste, or machinery, including explosions, fires, or contact with toxic, explosive, or dangerous substances

It's not a legal requirement to have multi-trip insurance, but it's highly recommended. It can help cover unexpected costs if something goes wrong. That's why we've thought ahead for you and included comprehensive travel insurance in our Metal and Ultra plans. Not only will you get multi-trip insurance, but you'll also receive other types of cover — at no extra cost. With our travel insurance policy, you'll be covered if:

• you have a medical emergency
• your flight is delayed
• your luggage is lost or delayed
• you're responsible for an accident
• your rental car is damaged
• your passport or visa is lost or stolen

With Revolut, multi-trip insurance is included when you sign up for Metal or Ultra — at no extra cost. Check out our Metal and Ultra paid plans.

With our multi-trip insurance, you'll be covered for personal trips anywhere outside your home country, as long as you follow the travel guidelines provided by your country's government. Check the official government website before travelling abroad. You're also covered for personal domestic trips at least 100km away from your primary residence. In this case, coverage only includes delays, cancellations, and lost or stolen baggage. You're covered for business trips as well. You may not be covered for trips to areas where the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has advised against travel. We won’t pay any claims which would cause us to break laws in the UK, the EU, or the USA. This includes UN resolutions, as well as trade and economic sanctions that prevent us from doing business with or involving certain countries, groups, companies, and people. Your Revolut travel insurance covers trips up to 30 days long on Metal and 90 days long on Ultra. Just relax and enjoy your travels. Find out more about coverage duration in our Help Centre.

Our multi-trip insurance covers you, your spouse or cohabitant (after you've been living together for a minimum or 12 months), and your children under 17 years of age (including stepchildren, foster children, adopted children, or children currently in the adoption process). To make an insurance claim, just follow these steps.

1. Open your Revolut app and tap Lifestyle in the bottom menu.
2. Choose Insure, then tap Travel.
3. Select a type and tap Get help.
