About the role

The Legal team sits at the heart of Revolut as one of our most important areas of business. This focused bunch supports all other Revolut teams, helping us achieve our goals each and every day.

They're special, they're strong-willed, and they work across a myriad of different areas. We know this isn’t super common for an in-house role, but our team is just that good!

We’re looking for a Junior Corporate Governance Legal Counsel to join us in our growing Legal team at Revolut’s Mexican office.

You'll ensure that the organisation complies with relevant legislation and regulation, and keeps board members informed of their legal responsibilities. They're the company's named representative on legal documents, and it's their responsibility to safeguard that the company and its directors operate within the law.

Up for the challenge? Let's get in touch.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating and logistics-managing all internal forums, committees, and governing bodies, including the Board of Directors and Shareholders' Meetings.
  • Providing legal assessment and dictamination on all matters, documents, and policies elevated to administrative and management bodies.
  • Managing, controlling, and registering the bank’s powers of attorney, registries, and corporate documents flawlessly.
  • Maintaining and updating Mexican corporate books, minutes, and records to ensure absolute structural order.
  • Drafting and preparing high-level legal documentation for the incorporation, liquidation, or deregistration of entities and branches.
  • Preparing technical documentation and regulatory filings on corporate governance matters for required public submissions.
  • Liaising and representing Revolut’s Mexican entities directly before legal registers, public notaries, and relevant regulatory institutions.
  • Executing strategic roadmaps and data-driven initiatives aimed at optimizing the efficiency of the local governance function.

What you'll need

  • 1-4 years of experience as a legal counsel or advanced legal intern.
  • Impeccable organizational capacity characterized by meticulous attention to detail and structural order.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate flawlessly and command a room at any level.
  • High tech-savviness paired with a data driven mindset built to crush KPIs.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge or interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Tech Law
  • Previous experience (even during internships) in Fintech, banking, or corporate governance.
  • Exposure to Corporate Law or governance environment
