Sign up to Revolut
Download the Revolut app from the App Store or Google Play Store to get started in minutes.
- Download the Revolut app and tap Sign-up
- Once you open the app, enter your mobile phone number. Make sure you start with your country code and remove the first 0 of your number, then tap Create account
- We’ll text you a 6-digit pin, which you can enter in-app
- Select your country of residence
- Enter your email address and choose whether to receive notifications from Revolut
- Create a 6-digit passcode for your Revolut account
- Enter your personal information, such as your name, address,¹ date of birth, and occupation
- Select your nationality
- ID verification with any of the following documents:
- Driving Licence (for Japanese nationals)
- MyNumber Card (for Japanese nationals)²
- Residence Card (for non-Japanese nationals)
- Special Permanent Resident Certificate (for non-Japanese nationals) - Select what you’re planning to use Revolut for
- Set up your Revtag to make it easy for friends to find you
- Order your card by visiting Cards → Add new card → choose between a virtual or physical card or get both.
If you choose a physical card, confirm the delivery address and tap Continue. If you choose a virtual card, you can immediately use it for online shopping without activating it. You can also add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay to start using it right away in stores. For more details, read our Order your Revolut card blog post.

¹Make sure the address you use is the same as the address shown on the ID document you use to set up the account.
²If you submit your MyNumber Card at the time of identity verification, we'll also collect your MyNumber in accordance with regulatory requirements. Please check our FAQ for details.
