You can now support causes close to your heart in a few taps, directly from the Revolut app.

We’re excited to announce that Nijiiro Diversity has joined us as our first-ever Japanese charity partner. You can now choose a donation method that fits your lifestyle to support them.

How does Donations work?

Donations allow you to make one-off contributions, round up your everyday payments to donate your spare change, or support a cause regularly by setting daily, weekly, or monthly recurring donations to partnering charities.

Plus there are no hidden fees or costs — 100% of your donations go towards helping those in need.

Key features

1. You can donate from 1 JPY: how much you donate is up to you. Even the smallest amount can make a big difference
2. Plan your donations: support your chosen cause with a one-time contribution or set up daily, weekly, or monthly recurring donations to partnering charities
3. Contribute with your spare change: donate rounded-up spare change from your everyday spending
4. 100% of your money is donated: no hidden fees — your entire contribution supports your chosen charity

How to use Donations

Donations can be made in a few taps. Simply follow the instructions below to make your first donation in the Revolut app

1. Make sure you submit MyNumber*
2. Update to the latest version of the app
3. Tap the Lifestyle tab on the bottom right of your screen
4. Select Donations followed by your preferred charity
5. To make a one-time donation, tap Donate
6. To donate regularly, you can choose Recurring donation or Spare change

What to keep in mind

• You can’t receive income deductions or tax credits for these donations
• We don’t send any of your personal information to the charity when you donate
• Only the money you’ve added to your account from bank transfers or received from other Revolut customers can be used for donations
• With spare change donations, we round up your purchase to the nearest JPY 100 and donate the spare change (between JPY 1 and 99).
  - Example 1: If you spend JPY 340, 60 yen will be donated.
  - Example 2: If you spend JPY 300, JPY 100 will be donated.
• When you make a donation, it’s in the currency that each charity specifies. If your donation’s currency is different, don’t worry — it’ll be converted at our exchange rate
