3. Get your loan
If you're approved and you accept our offer, we'll add the loan amount to your Revolut account.

- You can apply for a loan in just a few steps.
- Make sure your app is updated to the latest version. If you're new to Revolut, download the app for iOS or Android, then sign up.
- Select Accounts from your home screen dropdown menu and tap Add new. Then scroll down and tap Credit.
- Fill in and submit your application.
- We'll send you our decision quickly. If you're approved for the loan and you accept our offer, we'll add the money you're borrowing to your Revolut account.
- If you're struggling to make a repayment or think you might struggle to do so in the future, please contact us via chat or email. We’re here to help, and we’ll discuss ways you can manage your repayments. If you miss a payment, we may also report it to the credit bureau. This might show up in your credit file and negatively impact your credit history. We’ll update your file every month to reflect the status of your repayments and the amount you owe.
- The loan period for a Revolut loan in Ireland is from 1 to 5 years.
- You’ll repay your loan in equal instalments on the same date every month throughout the term of the loan. We'll collect your first instalment on your requested repayment date, which is no more than one month from the date we paid the loan into your account. Your repayments will include both capital and interest. We’ll charge your repayments directly to your Revolut Euro account. If there's not enough money in your account and you've set up a backup card, we'll charge it to your card.
- When assessing credit applications, we take various factors into consideration. Some of the main reasons an application may be unsuccessful can include insufficient income, low repayment capacity, and poor credit history, among others. If we're unable to approve your credit application, we'll communicate this to you as part of the in-app application process. Warning: If you don't meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating, which may limit your ability to access credit, a hire-purchase agreement, a consumer-hire agreement, or a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) agreement in the future. |
