  • You’ll need a business account if your small business is set up as a limited company and registered with Companies House. This is a legal requirement in the UK. Sole traders, freelancers, contractors, and gig-workers aren’t required to have a business account. But it can be beneficial to separate your personal and business finances for organisation and tax purposes. We're unable to offer these businesses an account through Revolut Business — but they can get an account with Revolut Pro, our all-in-one account for freelancers and sole traders.Learn more about Revolut Pro.
  • Revolut Business offers a Basic plan with no monthly subscription fee to help businesses get started. Our Basic plan offers a £1,000 monthly interbank rate¹ exchange allowance, alongside other features and benefits to help your business cut costs. See our full list of fees for the Basic plan here.   • Opening a Revolut Business account is simple: 1. Fill out a short online form — it only takes about 10 minutes 2. We’ll review your Business account application 3. If you’re approved, your account will be set up and you’ll be ready to go You'll need to provide some information on your business to complete your application.

  • With Revolut Business, you can empower your team to spend as needed and still maintain control. Invite unlimited team members and get plastic and virtual debit cards. You can even set permissions and track expenses to minimise overspending. Our Grow plan provides more granular control and tracking, giving you greater control of where cards can be used and who has access. You’ll also benefit from detailed analytics and expense approvals.
  • To open a Revolut Business account, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:
    • Your company must be fully incorporated and active
    • Your company must be registered in an eligible country
    • Your company's legal form shouldn't be a charity, operate in the public sector, act as a cooperative, or be registered as sole traders (all legal forms will be listed for your jurisdiction during signup. If you don't find your legal form listed, unfortunately we can't support your company at the moment)
    • Your company doesn’t operate in unsupported industries
    • Your current legal home address should be in UK, Switzerland, or EEA
  • Revolut Business' Basic or Grow plans are affordable options for small to medium businesses:
    • Basic Plan: starts at £0 per month, and includes all the essential features your small business needs.
    • Grow Plan: starts at £19 per month, paid annually. It includes all Basic plan features, plus increased transfer allowances, bulk payments, Savings, Analytics, API access, and more.

  • According to the UK Government, a business is considered 'small' if it has any two of the following:
    • a turnover of £10.2 million or less
    • £5.1 million or less on its balance sheet
    • 50 employees or less
