Are there any fees with Revolut?
Yes, there are fees for certain services and plan subscriptions, but we aim for complete clarity. Our Standard plan carries no monthly maintenance fees or minimum balance requirements. We believe you should only pay for the extra value you choose.
Our paid plans, Premium and Metal, carry a monthly subscription fee. In exchange, these plans offer higher limits for services, better interest rates on savings, and no additional exchange fees during weekdays.

Revolut card fees
Physical card fees may vary depending on your plan, but virtual cards can be created without fees. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:
- Standard plan: Your first physical card is available at no extra cost (delivery fee applies).
- Premium and Metal plans:Yourr first physical card and its delivery are included at no extra cost.
- Virtual cards: Creating virtual cards comes without fees for all plans.
- Replacements: If you lose your physical card, we'll charge a fee to replace it depending on your plan. You'll see the cost in-app before you place your order.

Comparing our Standard and Premium plans
The right plan for you depends on your spending habits. If you mostly use your account for spending in the US, our Standard plan is a good option. However, if you frequently exchange currency or use ATMs, the fees on a Standard plan could eventually add up to more than the monthly cost of a Premium or Metal subscription.
Revolut currency exchange rates and fees
We use our competitive Revolut exchange rate for currency conversions. This rate includes a markup, meaning there is a fee embedded into the exchange rate. As we believe in clarity, you’ll always be able to check the current exchange rate before you make a transaction. And, since you can have 25+ currencies stored in your account, you can check the exchange rate in-app or set up alerts to convert currencies at rates you’re happy with.²
Revolut currency exchange limits and fees

Standard | $1,000/month | 1% |
Premium | $10,000/month | None |
Metal | Unlimited | None |
After you've reached your rolling monthly limit on a Standard or Premium plan, a fair usage fee (0.5% for Standard and Premium customers) is applied to the transaction to cover our costs.
Revolut ATM withdrawal fees
We provide access to over 55,000 in-network ATMs worldwide. We don't charge a fee for using in-network ATMs in the US.¹
If you use an out-of-network ATM, some limits and fees may apply depending on your plan.

Third-party ATMs may charge their own fees. Look for in-network ATMs nearby to avoid third-party surcharges.

How to reduce Revolut fees
While some fees are necessary to maintain our platform, you can minimize your costs by following these strategies:
- Monitor your limits: Keep an eye on your conversion and ATM limits in-app. You'll receive a notification when you're close to reaching them.
- Exchange during the week: Depending on your plan, try to make your currency conversions during market hours to avoid the 1% weekend markup.
- Use in-network ATMs: Use our in-app atm locator to find one of our ATMs near you.
- Pick the right plan: If you consistently pay fair usage fees, an upgrade to Premium or Metal may be more cost-effective.
- Use virtual cards: Create virtual cards with no fees, and use them to pay online and in-store with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
