Revolut Business vs Starling Business FAQs
Starling Business helps sole traders, limited companies, limited liability partnerships, and community interest companies get started with business accounting for free. They offer accounting tools, cards for business owners or directors, a range of integrations, and free UK bank transfers. Starling Business also offers overdrafts and business loans for eligible sole traders and businesses.
You can add additional features to a Starling Business account for a monthly fee:
- £2 for EUR accounts
- £5 for USD accounts
- £7 for Bulk Payments
- £7 for the Business Toolkit — which includes expense management, invoicing, and tax management tools
Revolut Business offers a wide range of features for businesses operating globally, such as built-in multi-currency accounts. This lets you send international transfers and exchange currencies at the interbank rate during market hours, within your plan limits.
You can also add an unlimited number of team members to your Revolut Business account, and issue physical or virtual cards to them all. This makes it a good option if your business is looking to manage employee spending.
If you sell products or services online, you might also prefer Revolut Business for its online payment acceptance features and competitive payment acceptance rates.

Starling Business only offers account access to company directors and persons of significant control (PSCs) listed on Companies House. Each person on the account will have the same level of access.
With Revolut Business, you can add an unlimited number of employees to your account. On our Grow Plan and above, you can also control their access levels with custom permissions. Your employees can use their cards with spending limits and permitted spend categories — so you can empower your team, while staying on top of your finances.
Starling Business partners and integrates with Zettle and SumUp to enable in-person payments. This lets businesses take sales with card readers and see transactions in their Starling Business account.
Revolut Business offers a variety of payment acceptance options that let you sell directly. Besides requesting individual payments via Invoices or Payment Links, you can power your online checkout with our Payment Gateway plugin or API.
Revolut Pay allows you to take payments from Revolut customers in a tap. You can also use Revolut Reader, Revolut Point of Sale (POS), and Tap to Pay on iPhone to take sales in person.

Starling Business provides EUR and USD accounts for an additional monthly fee. You can send money to 34+ countries in 17+ different currencies using SWIFT, or Starling’s low-cost payment option via their partner network. Starling Business adds a 0.4% exchange fee for any currency exchange or money transfers in different currencies.
With Revolut Business, you can exchange, receive, and keep 25+ currencies directly in your Business account — as well as manage payments to and from 100 countries. You also get access to no-fee exchanges and transfers at the interbank rate during market hours, within your plan limits.
