At Revolut, we offer a wide variety of top-up options, so that you can add money in a way that suits you.

If you’re looking to top up via card, we’ve made the process as simple and straightforward as possible. But if you’re having any issues, this article outlines our key eligibility requirements when using this top-up method.

Not accepted cards

Please see below for a list of ineligible card providers. If your card was issued by an institution listed below, please consider using other cards, topping up via bank transfer, or transfers from other Revolut customers.

Please note, there are some cards not on this list that cannot be used for top-ups.

Card top-up fees

  • We've removed our top-up fee for domestic Mastercard credit and debit cards, effective from 11 June 2024.
  • The top-up fee for domestic Mastercard prepaid cards has been lowered from 1.7% to 1.3%.
  • Money added by Visa debit cards (excluding international and commercial cards) continues to be free of charge.
  • A top-up fee of 1.7% for domestic Visa credit and prepaid, all international Visa and Mastercard, and all commercial Visa and Mastercard remains.
