Apply for a Revolut Basic account
If you are unable to open a regular bank account, you may be eligible for a Basic account with limited features.
Use it for all your basic banking needs, from payments and transfers to ATM withdrawals.
Check if you're eligible
You can only apply for a Basic account if you meet the following criteria:
- You don't hold a payment account with a bank in the Republic of Lithuania
- You are over 18 years of age
- You are a legal resident in the Republic of Lithuania and you can provide proof of professional, economic, social, or personal connections to the Republic of Lithuania
You won’t be able to open a Basic account if you've intentionally used an account to commit criminal offenses, leading to an account closure, within the past 2 years.
You can open a Standard bank account if you hold other accounts, and therefore don't qualify for a Basic account.
A Basic account is a regulated bank account that offers limited services. All persons aged 18 or over who satisfy the eligibility criteria are entitled to this service.

How to apply
Before applying for a Basic account, make sure you're eligible based on the criteria listed above. Please note that this account will have basic functionality only, and you may be restricted from accessing all current and future features in the Revolut app. This application may take more time than usual, as it requires additional checks. Once you've submitted the application form, confirmed that you meet the eligibility criteria, and accepted the Basic account T&Cs, you'll receive an email from the Revolut Support team with a link redirecting you to the Revolut app.
