Paid Plan Free Trial of any paid plan for selected Standard plan customers

What is the Promotion about?

Revolut is offering selected Standard plan customers the opportunity to try one of our paid Personal subscription plans (Plus, Premium, Metal or Ultra) (each, a “Paid Plan”) for free for a period of time as agreed by us (“Free Trial Promotion”). Selected customers will be able to access this Free Trial Promotion by clicking through the relevant screens in the Free Trial Promotion dashboard in their Revolut app.

These terms and conditions (the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to the Promotion. When participating in this Promotion, you must comply with these Promotion Terms, as well as:


Who is eligible for this Promotion?

The Free Trial Promotion is open to selected Revolut customers on a Standard plan who have passed our Know Your Customer requirements and have been successfully onboarded as Revolut Personal customers. Customers who are selected will be shown the Free Trial Promotion dashboard in their Revolut app.

This Free Trial Promotion runs for a defined period of time at Revolut’s discretion (the “Promotion Period”). The minimum period of Free Trial is 1 month. You must also meet the Eligibility Criteria and complete the Required Steps set out in these Promotion Terms during the Promotion. The Promotion end date will be clearly set out in the Free Trial Promotion dashboard in your Revolut app (the “Landing Page”).


How do I start my Free Trial?

To start your Free Trial, you will need to complete the steps to upgrade your Revolut Personal account to your offered subscription plan within the period specified in the Landing page. Just so you know, the Paid plan terms and terms for your selected Paid Plan (all fees terms could be checked here, e.g. the terms and conditions that apply to Metal if you choose to try Metal) will apply to you during your Free Trial. We will not charge you the subscription fee for the period of time included in your Free Trial. We’ll tell you in the Free Trial Promotion dashboard how long you’ll receive your selected Paid Plan for free so you’re aware before you sign up. After your Free Trial ends, by default you will remain on your selected Paid Plan unless you tell us otherwise, and normal billing (whether monthly or annually) will apply.


Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your subscription plan within the Free Trial, after which normal cancellation rules will apply.

This means that normal fees for downgrading your Paid Plan subscription will apply (see the “Fees for downgrading your Paid Plan subscription” section of the Paid Plan Terms for more information). If you are a Revolut Bank UAB, Zweigniederlassung Deutschland customer, your Paid Plan subscription has an initial fixed term and any downgrade during the initial fixed term will take effect at the end of the initial term until the end of which you must pay the subscription fees. See section 11 of the Paid Plan Terms, Part I for more information.


Physical Revolut card

You can order one Revolut card free of charge during your Free Trial period. However, if you decide to cancel your Free Trial Paid Plan subscription during the Free Trial period, you will have to pay us the fee for the delivery of the card. You will also have to pay us for the card itself if you ordered a “Metal” card. You may also have to pay a card delivery fee and a fee for the card itself if you order any additional Revolut cards.

What other legal information should I know?

  1. Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination.
  2. If you close your Revolut Personal account or your account becomes suspended or restricted before we grant you your Free Trial, you will lose your entitlement to it.
  3. Revolut needs to process your personal data to perform our obligations under these Promotion Terms. For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Customer Privacy Notice.
  4. These terms are published in English and any translation is a courtesy and an unofficial translation only. Participants of the Promotion cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in any legal proceedings. If, however, by law the local language should be used, the local language shall prevail.

This Promotion is organised and offered to you by the following Revolut group entity that provides you with your Personal account. If you have a complaint about this Promotion, you can raise it directly with them. Please see below for the registered addresses of each Revolut group entity and the relevant laws and courts that have jurisdiction to determine any dispute you may have in relation to this Promotion. You can still rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules and law of the country where you live.

You can withdraw from this promotion free of charge and without having to indicate any reason within the first 14 days of participating by letting us know through the Revolut app or by emailing us at [email protected] (withdrawal form), provided that the promotion is not yet fully executed or has not ended.
