What is the promotion about?

As part of the Plan Upgrade Promotion, Revolut is offering select existing customers the opportunity to claim: (1) a Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial, waived of the first year’s annual subscription fee; (2) receive a complimentary Metal card; and, (3) be eligible for other rewards, defined below and stated in the Promotional Materials (collectively, the “Promotion”).

Eligible customers will be able to access the Promotion by following the steps detailed in marketing or communication (in-app or email) received directly from Revolut (collectively, the “Promotional Materials”), and following the steps detailed below.

The Promotional Materials will describe the select elements of this Promotion for which you qualify. Only those specific items set forth in the Promotional Materials are eligible to be redeemed by a qualifying customer who receives the Promotional Materials.

These terms (the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to the Promotion, and you must comply with these Promotion Terms and also the terms that apply to your Revolut account at all times when participating in this Promotion.

By signing up for this Promotion and completing the required steps, qualifying customers are eligible to receive both of:

1. A Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial, on which the annual subscription fee is waived for the first year (the “Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial”); and,
2. A complimentary Metal Card or 24k Gold Metal Card (the “New Card”).

Depending on the offer set forth in the Promotional Materials, you may also be eligible to redeem one (1) of the Rewards below:

1. A promotional bonus deposited to your Revolut account when you reach a certain spend amount on Qualifying Transactions (defined below) using your New Card within the first three (3) months (the “Bonus”); or
2. 10% Cashback on Qualifying Transactions (defined below) made with your New Card within the first three (3) months, up to a maximum of $300 Cashback total that may be earned (the “Cashback Offer”).

The Promotion will run from 12:00 PM ET on October 6, 2023 until 23:59 ET on November 30, 2023, for the selected existing Revolut customers who are provided the Promotional Materials and complete the steps required to participate (the “Promotion Period”).

Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trials activated after the end of the Promotion Period are not eligible to redeem the benefits under this Promotion.

This Promotion is not available for Revolut Business accounts or Revolut <18 accounts. This Promotion is offered at Revolut’s sole discretion and is not automatically available to you within the mobile application.

This Promotion may only be redeemed once per Revolut customer, and only by those Revolut customers who are offered the Promotion within the Revolut mobile application.

Please refer to the below chart for a summary of the promotional benefits that customers eligible for this Promotion may access depending on your current Revolut Plan and the offer stated in the Promotional Materials:

*Enrollment in the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial initiates an annual plan subscription. By completing the steps to upgrade your Revolut account to the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial, you are signing up for one whole year of a new Metal subscription, which will automatically renew annually one year from the date of enrollment. You will be charged the Metal plan annual subscription fee of $149.99 on the date of the automatic renewal.

**The New Card is a replacement to your current Revolut card. Delivery fees may apply. You must order and activate the New Card, which will deactivate your current Revolut card on a date that will be communicated to you. Your current card account balance(s) shown in the Revolut app will not be affected by this change.

+The Bonus will be credited to your Revolut account once you have used your New Card to reach or exceed the amount of Qualifying Transactions required in the Promotional Materials (the “Spend Threshold”) within the first three (3) months of activating your New Card (the “Bonus Deadline”). You must also complete the other steps required to activate your New Card under this Promotion.

++10% Cashback will be awarded to qualifying customers who are eligible for the Cashback Offer in the Promotional Materials, until the sooner of: the maximum of $300 cashback has been reached (“Maximum Cashback”) or the fist three (3) months of use of the New Card has elapsed (the “Cashback Deadline”). You must also complete the other steps required to activate your New Card under this Promotion.

Qualifying Transactions

A "Qualifying Transaction" is any physical or virtual transaction made with your New Card that is not excluded below and is made before the Bonus Deadline or the Cashback Deadline, as applicable. The Bonus or the Cashback Offer may be earned by making the amount of Qualifying Transactions required in the Promotional Materials using your New Card.

Qualifying Transactions exclude: transactions that are less than $1.00 USD, ATM transactions, the purchase of money orders or other cash equivalents, gift cards, cash over portions of point-of-sale transactions, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) payments (such as Apple Pay Cash or Google Pay), currency exchange service providers, and loan payments or account funding made with your New Card are not eligible for cash back rewards. In addition, transactions made using third-party payment accounts (services such as Venmo® and PayPal™, who also provide P2P payments, cryptocurrency exchanges), gambling, cryptocurrency-related transactions, and securities transactions (including stock transactions) are not eligible for the Cashback Reward.

What do I need to do to take part in the Promotion?

To be eligible for this Promotion, you must:

• Be 18 years or older and a resident of the United States (with a valid US residential address); and
• Be an existing customer of Revolut, meaning you have successfully onboarded to Revolut and your account is fully active and that your account is not suspended, closed, or restricted; and,
• Receive Promotional Materials from Revolut about the Promotion.

You will also need to complete the following steps to activate the Promotion:

• Follow the steps displayed within the Promotional Materials;
• Activate your Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial;
• Order your New Card as a replacement for your current Revolut card; and,
• Make the amount of Qualifying Transactions required in the Promotional Materials using your New Card prior to the Bonus Deadline or Cashback Deadline (as applicable).

Eligible customers who do not order a New Card will be removed from the Promotion, the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial will be canceled, and you will not be eligible for the Bonus or Cashback Offer.

How do I start my Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial?

You can take part in the Promotion if you meet the eligibility criteria and have completed all of the steps outlined in “What do I need to do to take part in the Promotion?” that are applicable to you.

You will need to complete the steps to activate the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial and order your New Card before the end of the Promotion Period.

Although the fee for your first year of the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial will be waived, if you participate in this Promotion, the normal terms and conditions for an annual subscription plan (see Premium and Metal Terms) and the applicable Cardholder Agreement will apply.

This Promotion is not available for plans that are billed monthly. By completing the steps to upgrade your Revolut account to the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial, you are signing up for a new annual Metal subscription plan, which will automatically renew at the $149.99 annual rate one year from the date you activated the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial.

What happens if I cancel or downgrade my Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial?

If you downgrade within 10 days

If you end or downgrade your Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial within 10 days, no cancellation fees will apply. However, if you have ordered a card, you’ll have to pay us for the New Card (the value indicated in the table under “What is the promotion about?”) and any associated delivery fee(s) that were waived when the New Card was ordered.

If you downgrade within 10 months

If you end or downgrade your Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial within 10 months, a $30 cancellation fee, New Card fee (the value indicated in the table under “What is the promotion about?”), and any associated delivery fee(s) that were waived when the New Card was ordered.

If you downgrade after 10 months

If you end or downgrade your Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial after 10 months, you will be charged for any associated delivery fee(s) that were waived when the New Card was ordered. You will not be charged a cancellation fee, nor will you be charged a New Card fee (the value indicated in the table under “What is the promotion about?”).

Delivery Charges for Revolut Cards:

• Standard Delivery: $0 - $5.00
• Expedited Priority Delivery: $16.99
• Global Express Delivery: $19.99

The Delivery Charge may be more depending on where you are sending the card. Delivery Charges will apply to the cancellation and downgrade scenarios shown above. If you already paid a delivery fee, this will not be refunded.

What terms apply to my Revolut Account?

Revolut’s subscription plans are each subject to the Revolut Cardholder Agreement. Our paid plans are all on 12-month terms whether you choose to pay monthly or annually.

Remember: by enrolling in this Promotion, you are signing up for an annual subscription and annual billing rules will apply on the renewal date of your annual subscription.

On the expiry of the Promotion, normal billing rules will apply and we’ll start taking payments for the full annual cost of your Metal subscription plan. Please review the Premium and Metal Terms and applicable Cardholder Agreement for more information on the terms that apply to your Metal subscription.

How do I get my Bonus?

If you qualify for the Bonus, the Bonus amount and Spend Threshold required to earn the Bonus will be stated in the Promotional Materials.

To earn the Bonus, you must make enough Qualifying Transactions with your New Card to reach or exceed the Spend Threshold set forth in the Promotional Materials before the Bonus Deadline. Once you reach or exceed the Spend Threshold, the Bonus will be deposited directly to your Revolut card. We’ll aim to credit the Revolut Bonus to your account within seven (7) days from the date the Spend Threshold has been reached or exceeded, but could take up to forty-five (45) days in certain circumstances at Revolut’s discretion, subject to these Promotion Terms.

Transactions made after the Bonus Deadline do not count toward redeeming the Bonus. If you make a Qualifying Transaction on your virtual or physical Revolut card within the Promotion Period but it is reverted or you seek a refund, or we (in our sole discretion) determine that you earned the Bonus fraudulently, you will not be entitled to the Bonus. If we’ve already credited your account with the Bonus, we reserve the right to reverse that credit. In the latter case, we will consider the reversal of any credit transaction to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorized by you.

If you believe that you are owed a Bonus that you have not received, please reach out to us via in-app chat and we will perform an investigation promptly. If it is determined that the Bonus is owed to you, we will credit any amounts due to you as soon as possible.

How do I get my Cashback Offer?

If you qualify for the Cashback Offer it will be stated in the Promotional Materials. Customers offered the Cashback Offer are eligible to receive 10% Cashback on Qualifying Transactions until the sooner of: the Maximum Cashback has been reached, or the Cashback Deadline has been reached.

Cashback will be calculated based on the total amount of Qualifying Transactions made using your New Card until the Cashback Deadline, with the maximum total cashback awarded not to exceed the Maximum Cashback amount. Qualifying Transactions made above the Maximum Cashback or after the Cashback Deadline has been reached will not generate Cashback. The Cashback amount (as applicable) will be calculated daily and rounded up to the nearest cent.

Cashback on Qualifying Transactions will be credited to your account approximately once every fourteen (14) days, but could take up to forty-five (45) days in certain circumstances at Revolut’s discretion, subject to these Promotion Terms. Pending transactions will not count toward the Cashback Offer until the transaction has fully cleared on your Revolut card account.

If you believe that you are owed a Cashback Bonus that you have not received, please reach out to us via in app chat as soon as you can, and no later than 60 days after we sent the first statement on which the problem or error appeared. If it is determined that cashback is owed to you, we will credit any amounts due to you as soon as possible.

If you make a virtual or physical Revolut card payment before the Cashback Deadline but it is reverted or you seek a refund, you will not be entitled to cashback and if we’ve already credited your account with cashback, we reserve the right to reverse that cashback, or deduct the cashback amount from future cashback earned under this or any other Promotion. We will consider the reversal of any cashback transaction to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorized by you. We also may remove you from this Promotion if we (at our sole discretion) determine that you are abusing the Promotion or have violated these terms.

What other legal information should I know?

1. This Promotion is organized and offered by Revolut Technologies Inc.
2. We may suspend or end the Promotion earlier than the end date we’ve mentioned above if, in our reasonable opinion, the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation. We may do this on an individual or promotion-wide basis. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of this early suspension or termination.
3. We can cancel this Promotion, or change these Promotion Terms at any time without notice.​​
4. We reserve the right to vary the amount of the discount on the Metal Plan Annual Subscription Trial that you may receive under this Promotion at any time without notice.
5. You cannot ask us to invite you to the Promotion if you weren’t selected or ask us to extend it if you miss it.
6. Events beyond the control of Revolut may occur that render the awarding this Promotion impossible. Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control.
7. If you close your Revolut account or your account becomes suspended or restricted between the time of qualifying for the Cashback Offer or Bonus and receiving the Cashback Offer or Bonus, then you will no longer be eligible for the Promotion.
8. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have engaged in any fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (such as for example attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception) we may in our sole discretion take any actions we see fit in the circumstances.
9. Revolut will send marketing to its existing customers in compliance with applicable data privacy and direct electronic marketing laws. If you do not want to receive marketing from Revolut you may manage your marketing preferences in the Revolut mobile application. Revolut processes your personal data in compliance with our Privacy Policy.
10. These terms are published in English and any translation is a courtesy and an unofficial translation only - participants of the Promotion cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in any legal proceedings.
