The Payment Processing Services Agreement (“PPSA”) states that it may be subject to additional terms. This agreement (the “Revolut POS Terms") sets out those additional terms and conditions for the Revolut POS software and related services (the “Revolut POS”).
These Revolut POS Terms constitute a legal agreement between you, the merchant, and us the Revolut entity providing you with your Revolut Business or Pro account and PPSA.
Where there is a conflict between these Revolut POS Terms and our Revolut Business or Pro Terms and PPSA in relation to Revolut POS, these Revolut POS Terms will prevail. If you expect something to be covered in these Revolut POS Terms but it is not, please check the Revolut Business or Pro Terms and PPSA instead.
1. What is Revolut POS?
Revolut POS is a software solution designed to manage your sales operations. It enables you to:
- Organise tables, catalogues, and inventory;
- Configure VAT rates, discounts, and tips;
- Monitor sales analytics and track staff hours;
- Receive orders directly from customers via the Order & Pay (which you remain solely responsible for fulfilling); and
- Log transactions:
- For cash transactions, you are responsible for collecting funds directly from the customer; and
- For card & QR transactions, the processing of these funds is performed by us under your PPSA. Card transactions can only be processed via our Revolut Reader and Terminal (Revolut Reader and Terminal Terms apply).
2. What fees apply to the use of Revolut POS?
We do not charge a subscription fee for Revolut POS.
However, standard transaction fees apply to all payments processed through Revolut POS. These fees are charged in accordance with your PPSA and the Fees Page (Business or Pro) applicable to your plan.
3. What customer information can Revolut POS process?
Revolut POS enables you to create customer profiles by uploading personal details (such as names, contact information, and addresses) and linking transactions to these profiles.
By uploading this customer information, you warrant that:
- You have obtained all necessary consents and provided fair processing notices to your customers; and
- You are fully compliant with applicable data protection laws regarding the transfer of this data to us.
Our processing of customer information is governed by the Data Processing Addendum (DPA) found in the PPSA.
4. Security and acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping your access permissions secure. You must not use Revolut POS in conjunction with unauthorised third-party software or hardware (only those listed in the Annex are permitted).
You agree not to (and not to allow others to):
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, sub-license rent, loan, lease, or transfer Revolut POS;
- Reverse engineer any aspect of the Revolut POS;
- Bypass any technical limitations of Revolut POS or enable functionality that is disabled or prohibited;
- Combine Revolut POS with other software in any way that restricts, impedes, circumvents, or impacts its functionality, or allows you to charge others for access to Revolut POS;
- Interfere with the normal operation of Revolut POS or perform any actions that affect its use by others;
- Use Revolut POS to create or facilitate the creation of any product or service that is competitive with any Revolut products or services;
- Use an outdated version of Revolut POS; and
- Upload any data, images or other information to Revolut POS, or configure the Revolut POS, in any way that is objectionable, illegal, immoral, constitute false information or otherwise inconsistent with Revolut’s Community Standards.
Attempting any of the above is also prohibited.
5. Intellectual property & licence
We grant you a limited, revocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, and non-transferable licence to access and use Revolut POS. Revolut retains all rights, title, and interest in the Revolut POS and any of its modifications or derivative works. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you in our agreements, you do not have any right, title, or interest in or to any Revolut trademarks, trade secrets, patents, brand names, copyrights, distinctive brand features, logos, domain names or any other Revolut intellectual property (“Revolut Property”). You may not use the Revolut Property without our prior written consent, including the making of any publication or communication using Revolut Property.
6. How can we change these Revolut POS Terms?
We may occasionally change these Revolut POS Terms. If we make any change, we will either:
- provide you with the newest version of the terms by e-mail at least 1 month before the change is effective; in this case, we’ll assume you’re happy with this change unless you tell us that you want to stop using Revolut POS before it comes into effect; or
- if the change is not detrimental to you and if it does not alter the price, duration or characteristics of the services we provide to you, we may make the change immediately. The newest version of the terms will be provided to you by e-mail when the change is effective.
7. Warranties & limitation of liability
Revolut POS and any related documents are provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties, or other terms (express or implied) except for those expressly stated in these Revolut POS Terms. We do not guarantee that Revolut POS will meet your specific requirements or be suitable for a particular purpose.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your QR code is securely placed and protected. We assume no liability for incidents where third parties replace or overlay your QR code to redirect payments.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Revolut POS immediately if you breach these Revolut POS Terms, your PPSA, or any other terms governing your Revolut Business or Pro account.
You may terminate this agreement at any time by contacting Support via the App. There is no charge or fee to do so. Once we have received your request, we will send you a confirmation that this agreement has ended and that, after this date, you will no longer have access to Revolut POS.
