We do not provide financial advice. We encourage you to do your own research to see which solution is the right option for your business.
It depends on your business needs, the currencies you exchange, and how many transactions you make.
PayPal Business charges 3% above the base rate on every currency exchange transaction made via their platform. This could add up fast if you're buying and selling currencies at significant volumes.
To reduce the cost and amount of currencies being exchanged, PayPal Business also provides a wide range of local currency accounts. This means PayPal Business customers can mostly rely on domestic payments instead of making frequent exchanges, which are comparatively costly on their platform.
Revolut Business doesn't charge any additional fees for transfers and exchanges within your plan allowance on weekdays. On our Grow plan, you'll be able to exchange up to €15,000 at the interbank rate. Outside your allowance, we charge a 0.6% fee.
Revolut Business also offers a range of currency accounts so you can take payments in different currencies, and skip the exchange fees.
