New to Revolut Business? Follow our 5-step guide to make sure you have everything you need to start smoothly.

1. Identity check

Before you get started, make sure you have the following documents ready. You must be at least 18 years old to open a Business account.

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality/citizenship
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Residential address (including country, city, postcode, and street)
  • Government ID or residence permit

For a seamless verification process, make sure all documents are fully visible, with no cropped corners or watermarks.

2. Business details

Your company must be fully incorporated in Australia. We’ll need some basic business details from you, including:
  • Legal entity type
  • Registered name
  • Australian Company Number (ACN)
  • Date of incorporation
  • Trade name (if applicable)
  • Stock exchange listing (if applicable)

3. Business address

It’s time to share your registered business address — your official address of incorporation which has to be in Australia.

If this information is available in public registries, we’ll fill it in for you. Otherwise, please provide the following details:

  • Country
  • City
  • Full address
  • State
  • Postcode

Business address documents we accept

  1. ASIC annual company statement

    This is our preferred verification method. Please provide a copy issued within the last 12 months

  2. Constitution

  3. Certificate of Incorporation

    This should clearly indicate your registered address

  4. Articles of Association

    Must be a recent copy obtained within the last 3 months

  5. Memorandum

  6. Audited annual report

    For the most recently-completed financial year

  7. Additional documents we accept

    Documents from stock exchanges, regulators, or an official licence

Check your operating address

Your operating address is the location where your main business activities take place. If this is different to your registered address, please provide the following details:

  • Type of address (office, co-working space, home, private mailbox, etc)
  • Full address (including country, city, state, and postcode)

How to verify your operating address

  1. Order a debit card

    Simply order a physical card to your operating address

  2. Utility bills

    Water, electricity, landline, or internet bill that lists the operating address as the place of delivery. The bill must be under your business’s legal or trading name and dated within the last 3 months

  3. Office rental agreement

    A contract with a minimum duration of 6 months, valid at the time you sign up. If the contract doesn’t specify a validity period, provide proof of payment from the last 12 months. In the case of rolling contracts with co-working spaces, provide the last 3 invoices from the provider with your operating address as place of delivery

  4. Bank statement

    From a non-digital bank, issued within the last 3 months. It should include your business's legal or trading name and list the operating address as the place of delivery

  5. Customer or provider contract

    Must be under your business' legal name, with your operating address as place of the delivery, and dated in the last 3 months

  6. Government correspondence

    It can be a court order, a traffic fine, or a business rates bill, with your operating address as place of delivery, under your legal business name, and dated in the 6 months

  7. Document from stock exchange

    A regulatory body or a licensing board or body. It must be dated in the last 3 months

4. Nature of business

To describe your business, simply provide a clear summary of the products or services you offer. Here’s what we need:

  • Your business's industry and sector
  • Description (a brief overview of your offerings)
  • Regulated status (if applicable)
  • Online presence (website or social media, if available)
  • Annual turnover and company size
  • Customer type (who you sell to)
  • Sales channels (how you sell your products or services)
  • Countries in which your company conducts business
  • Intended purpose of the account (what you'll use us for) as well as an estimation of your monthly volumes

Nature of business documents we accept

  1. A live website

  2. ANZSIC code on Australian Business Register Profile

  3. Australian tax return

    This should be from the previous financial year showing the main business activity or ANZSIC

  4. An invoice

    Must be issued by your business in the last six months and you should provide a matching bank statement

  5. A customer contract

    It must be valid (the provision of services or goods is ongoing) or dated in the last six months

  6. A supplier agreement

    It must be valid (the provision of services or goods is ongoing) or dated in the last 12 months

  7. An invoice from a supplier

    Must be dated in the last six months

  8. Financial statements or annual reports

    Valid for the most recently ended financial year

  9. Other accepted documents

    An insurance contract, an official license, court documents, association membership, trademark registrations

5. Business owners

As a last step, we need to verify details for at least one Controlling Officer and your company’s shareholders. You'll need to invite them to complete their ID verification and upload their details via Revolut Business. At a minimum, we’ll need the following information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality/citizenship
  • Full address
  • Phone number
  • Email

For shareholders, we require a detailed breakdown of ownership and voting rights percentages, ensuring full transparency up to the Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) for anyone holding a 25% or greater stake in the business.

Business owner documents we accept

  1. Registry extract

    For example, the ASIC company statement. Copy must be dated in the last 12 months

  2. Shares certificate, cap table, ownership chart, or shares registry

  3. Constitution

  4. Memorandum of Association

  5. Audited annual report

  6. Partnership agreement
