  • Both connect your AI assistant to your Revolut X account, but they are built for different setups:

    Connector: A managed, cloud-hosted connection over MCP (Model Context Protocol). Revolut handles the infrastructure for you, making it the simplest choice for AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT to access your portfolio and market data without installing local tools.

    Revolut X CLI: A local software setup. You install a command-line tool (CLI) on your computer, and "skills" act as an instruction manual so your AI assistant can execute trading commands directly on your machine.

    In short: Use a connector for a quick, no-setup integration, or CLI if you want direct command-line control and local execution.

  • Depending on how your assistant is connected and the permissions you grant, you can ask it to:

    • Check your balances, open orders, order history and previous trades
    • Explore currencies, trading pairs, live prices, price history and order books
    • Monitor prices and market indicators, such as RSI, MACD, volume changes and price movements
    • Backtest and optimise trading strategies
    • Set up alerts and receive notifications through supported services
    • Place, replace or cancel orders

    Available features may vary depending on your assistant and its Revolut X integration.

  • To disconnect your Revolut X connector:

    1. Log in to the Revolut X mobile app

    2. Go to your profile

    3. Select 'Security' and then 'Connected apps & services'

    4. Select your connected AI assistant

    5. Click 'Disconnect'
