Revolut Business vs Payoneer FAQs
Payoneer
Payoneer is a well-known international payments solution that helps freelancers and businesses of all sizes get paid, and make payments in over 190 countries. Payoneer has partnered with over 2,000 marketplaces worldwide for payouts, making it easier for sellers to get paid, no matter where they’re based. They also offer their own online checkout integrated with ecommerce plugins, or an API.
They’ve recently increased their offerings for businesses — including debit cards linked to currency accounts, cash advances for eligible customers, and a wider range of local currency accounts for domestic payments.
Payoneer isn't a bank in any of the regions where they operate, so you’ll still need to connect your Payoneer account to a business account to settle your payments. You can pay your suppliers and employees from your Payoneer balances.
Revolut Business
Revolut Business offers a wider range of currencies you can store in your account, advanced card issuing and custom spend controls for your teams, and a simpler fee structure. We also offer a no-fee exchange allowance on weekdays, where we only charge the interbank rate for Grow, Scale, and Enterprise plans, which could help you save on currency conversion if you operate at high volumes.
You can also power your in-store checkout with Revolut Business, so it's worth checking out if you need in-person payment acceptance.
We don't provide financial advice. We encourage you to do your own research to see which solution is the right option for your business.
Payoneer offers a huge range of marketplace and platform partners, enabling their customers to accept payments in different currencies from platforms like Amazon, Fiverr, and eBay.
You can also send custom invoices with attached payment links, and request individual payments within the Payoneer platform.
Payoneer provides an online checkout solution that integrates with your website or existing ecommerce platform, but this is only available for businesses registered in Hong Kong, as of 4 February 2025.
Revolut Business offers a variety of payment solutions to help you sell directly. As well as requesting individual payments via invoices or Payment Links, you can use Revolut Pay or our Payment Gateway plugins and API to power your checkout online.
You can also use Revolut Reader and Tap to Pay on iPhone to take payments in-person. Our payment tools offer 24-hour settlement time and competitive pay-per-transaction fees. Check out our rates for payment acceptance.
It'll depend on your business needs, the currencies you exchange, and how many transactions you make. Payoneer charges a minimum 0.5% markup above the interbank rate on every currency exchange transaction that you make on their platform. This could add up fast if you're buying and selling currencies at significant volumes. Payoneer also provides a wide range of local currency accounts to reduce the amount of currencies to exchange. This is thanks to using domestic payments, and storing payments in those currencies.
Revolut Business doesn't charge any additional fees for transfers and exchanges within your plan allowance on weekdays. On our Grow plan, you'll be able to exchange up to €15,000, at the interbank exchange rate. Outside your allowance, we charge a 0.6% fee. See more details about Revolut Business currency exchange allowances. Revolut Business also offers a range of currency accounts so you can take payments in different currencies, and store them in those currencies until you need to exchange.
