Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the Revolut x ChatGPT Go 3 Month Complimentary Trial Promotion (the “Promotion”), offered by Revolut Payments New Zealand Pty Ltd (NZBN 9429048733212) (“Revolut”, “we”, “our” or “us”).
Through this promotion, Revolut may provide you with the ability to receive a complimentary trial of ChatGPT from OpenAI. However, Revolut’s involvement is limited to providing you with the ability to receive that complimentary trial. If you choose to take up the complimentary trial, you will be entering into a separate agreement with OpenAI, which may require you to begin paying for ChatGPT after your complimentary trial ends. Please read any OpenAI agreements carefully, as Revolut does not provide your ChatGPT subscription and cannot help you manage or cancel it.
The terms and conditions of the Promotion are set out below (the “Terms”). These Terms apply in addition to the other terms and conditions that apply to you as a customer of Revolut, including the Personal Terms, Paid Plan Terms, Fees and Charges Section and the Plan Partnerships Terms. Your use of ChatGPT will be separately governed by the agreement you enter into with OpenAI.
Promotion Period
To take part in the Promotion, you must meet the eligibility criteria and complete the Required Steps set out in these Promotion Terms between 30 July 2026 12 p.m. NZST and 30 July 2027 11.59 a.m. NZST (the “Promotion Period”).
What is the Promotion about?
This Promotion is an opportunity for Eligible Customers to receive a 3 month complimentary trial of the Chat GPT Go subscription plan with Revolut (the “Subscription Offer”) through following the Required Steps set out in the “How do I claim the Subscription Offer” section below during the Promotion Period.
Who is eligible to participate in the Promotion?
In order to participate in this Promotion, you must have passed Revolut’s ‘Know Your Customer’ checks and been fully onboarded. You must also be an Eligible Customer as defined below.
An “Eligible Customer” is a customer that, during the Promotion Period:
- personally received communications (e.g., email or in-app notification) from Revolut inviting you to participate in the Promotion;
- has an active Revolut Standard or Plus account;
- does not have an active ChatGPT subscription or previously held a ChatGPT subscription at any point during the previous 3 months; and
- has not or has not previously closed a Revolut account or had an account become suspended or restricted.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Subscription Offer will not be available to you if you already have an active ChatGPT subscription at the time of redeeming the unique code from Revolut or have had an active ChatGPT subscription at any point in the previous 3 months.
How do I claim the Subscription Offer?
To claim the Subscription Offer, the Eligible Customer must follow the Required Steps, during the Promotion Period.
The Required Steps include:
- clicking on the unique link shared with the Eligible Customer by Revolut through personal communications. This link will redirect the Eligible Customer to the ChatGPT in-app promotions page;
- to redeem the ChatGPT Go Subscription Offer, the Eligible Customer must click “Claim Offer” on the Revolut in-app promotion page for ChatGPT which will redirect the Eligible Customer to the ChatGPT website;
- Either create or log into an existing ChatGPT account. The promo code will be automatically recognised at checkout.
Once the Eligible Customer has completed the Required Steps within the Promotion Period, they will be eligible for the Subscription Offer.
The applicable terms and conditions for the ChatGPT Go subscription will apply to you during your Subscription Offer. Please ensure you read the OpenAI Terms and Conditions and any other OpenAI agreements that apply to you carefully, and are aware of any charges imposed by OpenAI. Revolut does not provide these services and is unable to help you with these agreements and charges.
What happens when the Subscription Offer ends?
What happens when your Subscription Offer ends is a matter agreed between you and OpenAI and determined by your agreement with them. You will agree with OpenAI that once the ChatGPT Go 3 Month Complimentary Trial ends, you will be automatically moved to a paid ChatGPT Go subscription charged at OpenAI's standard monthly rate for ChatGPT Go at your own expense. If you do not want to be charged and no longer wish to subscribe to ChatGPT Go, you may cancel the subscription directly through your OpenAI account at least 24 hours before your first billing date at the end of the complimentary trial period. OpenAI's current pricing and cancellation steps are set out in OpenAI Terms and Conditions. Cancellations cannot be made through Revolut.
What happens if I upgrade my Revolut plan during the Subscription Offer?
When you claim the Subscription Offer under the Promotion, your 3 month complimentary trial starts. If you upgrade your Revolut Plan from Standard or Plus to a higher plan (Premium, Metal or Ultra) during your complimentary trial period, you can choose to manually activate the ChatGPT Go subscription as part of your Paid Plan Benefit. If you choose to activate it, your complimentary trial ends and is replaced by the Paid Plan Benefit period. Any unused time remaining on your complimentary trial at that point is forfeited and will not carry over to the Paid Plan Benefit period under your new paid plan.
What else should I know?
Revolut reserves the right to change, modify and/or supplement these Terms at any time during the Promotion Period. If we exercise this right in a way that is detrimental to you in your capacity as an Eligible Customer, we will notify you directly. In all other instances we will try to give advance notice on our website. Please contact Customer Support if you have any questions.
Events beyond the control of Revolut may occur that render the awarding of the Promotion impossible. Accordingly, Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control.
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you or someone you refer have engaged in any fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (such as for example attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception) we may in our sole discretion take any actions we see fit in the circumstances.
If your promotional code is not recognised at checkout for any reason, or at checkout the expected price is not shown, do not complete the purchase and contact the Open AI customer support with screenshots and details at support@openai.com or on their Help Center.
If you close your Revolut account or your account becomes suspended or restricted you will lose access to the Subscription Offer that forms part of this Promotion.
This Promotion is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms can be dealt with by the Courts of New Zealand.
