FAQs

  • We offer both virtual and physical corporate cards that are accepted around the world (except in the US, where we offer prepaid cards). You can also get stainless-steel Metal cards on certain plans.

Here's a quick overview of each type of card we offer:

    Physical cards
Issue your team physical cards so they can manage business spend without needing to request reimbursements — while you stay in control. Physical cards will have the company's name on the front, and the cardholder's name on the back alongside the card number, CVV, and expiry date. You can set spend limits, specific categories, or link cards to specific accounts.

    Virtual cards
Virtual cards live in-app and you can issue them instantly. They’re great for online spend, but they can also be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay for spending on-the-go. Each team member can hold up to 50 virtual cards. You can also use these cards for specific supplier payments, subscriptions, and other recurring payments. Set permitted countries, spend limits, and allowed spend categories for each card to stay on budget and on policy.

    Metal cards
You can get stainless-steel Metal cards on Scale, Grow, and Enterprise plans. These sleek cards offer a stand-out look for your power players. Metal cards cost an additional fee once you've reached your plan allowance.

  • Revolut Business Metal cards are stainless-steel black or gold cards you can order if you’re on the Grow, Scale, or Enterprise plan. They offer a sleek look, and they’re great for your top team members or C-suite.

You’ll get a certain number of complimentary Metal cards, which varies depending on what plan you're on. If you want more Metal cards beyond your allowance, you can order them for a fee.

Metal cards are shipped using an express delivery method, so your card will be delivered quickly.

  • Virtual cards are digital-only cards with unique 16-digit card numbers, expiry dates, and CVV codes. They aren't digital versions of your physical cards, but separate ones entirely.

Virtual cards are most commonly used for online payments, but you can also add them to your Apple and Google Pay wallets to pay on-the-go.

You can issue these to your team instantly, or create them for specific subscriptions, suppliers, and recurring payments. They help you organise and control where your spend goes.

  • Every team member can hold up to 3 active physical cards and up to 50 active virtual cards.

This limit applies to all Revolut Business plans.

    Are there card fees?

    • We cover the standard delivery costs for each team member's first card, but delivery fees apply for any additional physical card a team member gets
    • You can generate new virtual cards at no cost and hold multiple cards at no cost
    • We do charge fees for additional Metal cards outside your plan allowance
  • You can spend in 150+ currencies with Revolut Business cards. Spend directly from specific currency account balances in up to 34 currencies, or exchange currencies automatically as you pay.

You can also withdraw from ATMs wherever Mastercard or Visa are accepted.

  • Who can order a card?

To order or issue new cards, you must be an account admin or have permissions to view and manage cards. If you can't order a card yourself, you can request one in your Business account by going to Cards.

    Ordering a card
Once a team member’s been added to Revolut Business, here’s how to issue them a card:

    1. Go to Cards
    2. Select Order card
    3. Choose a team member

If you haven't invited them to join your Business account yet, the first physical card for each team member won't cost you anything. Any additional cards will be charged a delivery fee starting from £4.99 (or currency equivalent) for standard shipping. You'll see the full price at checkout while ordering a card.

When ordering a card for yourself, you'll have the option to specify the address (office, home, or foreign country) you'd like the card to be sent to. This also applies to team members who'll receive a card invitation. If your team is spread out, don't worry — cards can be shipped around the world.

To make changes in spend controls, you must have permission to manage cards.

Here are some controls you can set:

    • Link cards to specific accounts — choose which currency account funds each card
    • Set a spending limit — it can be a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly limit for each card
    • Add a single transaction limit — so the card can’t spend more than the limit in a single purchase
    • Define permitted categories — set categories for allowed purchases, such as 'Travel' or ‘Cash’ for ATM withdrawals
    • Allow spend in certain countries — restrict the merchant country where the card can be used
    • Create card spend programs — set a spend program that allows you to apply the same set of spend controls to a group of cards
