What is this Promotion about?
- What: Revolut is offering selected existing Standard customers the chance to receive a 2-month free trial of the Premium Paid Plan (the Free Trial) (worth 19,98 EUR) and a 30 EUR cash reward (the Cash Reward) if they upgrade to Premium and switch their energy provider to Octopus Energy (the Partner).
Customers may be selected based on certain criteria, like transaction categories, being 18+ years of age, having an active retail account for a set period, and being on a qualifying paid plan.
- Who: Existing Standard customers (you or your) residing in Italy (the Market), who receive an invitation (the Promotion invitation) and complete the required steps below.
- When: The promotion period starts on 8 June 2026 and ends on the 10 July 2026 (the Promotion Period) .Once you receive the promotion invitation, you will have:
a) 3 days to upgrade to the Premium Plan for the Free Trial;
b) 18 days to successfully switch your energy provider to the Partner for the Cash Reward.
You must comply with these terms and conditions and this promotion’s landing page, as well as the Personal Terms, Paid Plan Terms, Information sheet and Fee Information document that apply to your Revolut Personal account to participate in this promotion.
Eligibility and required steps
To be eligible for this promotion, you must:
- have a registered address in Italy;
- be an existing Revolut Personal customer with an active, unrestricted account;
- have received a Promotion Invitation;
- Not be an existing customer of Octopus Energy
- be at least 18 years old.
The required steps are:
- Open the Promotion Invitation: You must receive a direct invitation to participate from Revolut via email, push notification, or in-app Inbox message. This Invitation is not transferable;
- Upgrade your Revolut Paid Plan: you must upgrade to the Premium Plan as identified in your invitation. You must remain on the identified plan for at least one month during the Free Trial Period. Downgrading your plan prior to this date may result in disqualification from the Cash Reward
- Switch to Octopus Energy: You must initiate and successfully complete an activation request to switch your energy provider to Octopus Energy. An activation request for Octopus Energy is only deemed "successful" and valid for this Promotion if:
- a) Direct Referral Path: You complete the entire signup process exclusively via the unique deeplink provided in your invitation or through the dedicated link within the Revolut application.
- b) Provider Acceptance: Octopus Energy successfully processes and accepts your switch request.
Please note that signups completed directly through the Octopus Energy website or via third-party comparison websites will not qualify for this Promotion.
How do I get my Cash Reward?
Octopus Energy will carry out a background verification and, upon successful completion, your Cash Reward will be credited to your Revolut Personal account within 30 Business days of successfully switching your energy provider to Octopus Energy.
How do I start my Revolut Free Trial?
To start your Free Trial, you will need to complete the steps to upgrade your Revolut Personal account to the Premium Plan within 3 days of receiving the Promotion Invitation.
If you do not upgrade before the above cut off, you will lose your entitlement to the Free Trial.
You must accept the Free Trial offer in your Revolut app to start your Free Trial.
Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel your Paid Plan at any time within the Free Trial Period, after which normal cancellation rules will apply. You can also decide to close your current account free of charge.
If you do not cancel your Free Trial, we will automatically sign you up for a 12 month of the Premium Paid Plan. We will charge you a monthly fee for your Premium Paid Plan from that day. ThePaid Plan terms and relevant Fees Page and Fee Information Document will apply.
Ending or downgrading your Paid Plan subscription may be subject to some fees (see the “Fees for downgrading your Paid Plan subscription” section of the Paid Plan terms for more information).
In order to check the start date of your subscription please go to the ‘Profile’ -> ‘Plan’ -> ‘Billing Details’ section on your Revolut, and to check how you can downgrade, please go ‘Profile’ -> ‘Plan’ -> ‘Change Plan’ section. Once you downgrade, you'll become a Standard user again (a personal account holder who does not pay a subscription for any of the Paid Plans).
Physical Revolut card
You can order one Revolut card free of charge during your Free Trial Period. However, if you decide to cancel your Free Trial Paid Plan subscription during the Free Trial Period, you will have to pay us the following (these fees will be shown to you when you order your card):
- the card delivery fee;
- the fee for the card itself, if you ordered a “Metal” or “Ultra” card;
- the card delivery fee and a fee for the card itself if you order any additional Revolut cards.

Promotion abuse or misuse | We may suspend, change, or end the promotion – for a specific participant or for everyone – if we believe that it’s being abused, could harm Revolut’s goodwill or reputation, or reasonably unforeseeable circumstances that are outside of our control arise and make it impossible to continue the promotion. Changes or early end | If the promotion changes or ends early but has not been withdrawn, we will tell you the same way we invited you to the promotion (e.g. email, push notification, in-app). We will give notice through the Revolut app and/or email. Don’t worry – if you’ve already taken part in the promotion, changes to the terms won’t affect you unless the promotion is suspended or ends because of reasonably unforeseen circumstances outside of our control which make it impossible to run. |
Fraud or rule-breaking | If you breach the Revolut Personal Terms, these terms and conditions, or participate in the promotion fraudulently, we may reverse any Cash Reward. By proceeding, you authorise any such reversal in advance. |
Account closed or restricted | To receive the Revolut Free Trial or Cash Reward, you must have an active Personal account (not closed, suspended, or restricted) throughout the Promotion Period and/or at the time you are due to receive the Revolut Free Trial or Cash Reward. |
Taxes | You’re responsible for any local tax that applies to your Cash Reward. Revolut doesn’t accept any liability for tax arising from your participation in the promotion. |
Data & Privacy | We’ll process your personal data in line with the Customer Privacy Notice that applies to your Revolut Personal account. Octopus Energy may also collect personal data or send marketing to you in connection with this promotion.
