What is this competition about?

Revolut Bank UAB, acting via its branch in France (referred to as “Revolut”, “we” and “us” throughout these terms) is offering the opportunity to take part in the Revolut x Pétanque Explorer On-site Cash Prize Competition (the “Competition”) on 22 June 2024, from 12 to 23 PM CET (the “Competition Period”) at Jardin Albert 1er located at 2-16 Av. de Verdun, 06000 – Nice, France (the “Competition Venue”).

The Competition allows the winner to win a prize of 5,000 euros credited directly to their Revolut account (the “Prize”).

These terms and conditions (the “Competition Terms”) set out the rules that apply to this Competition. You must comply with these Competition Terms at all times when participating in this Competition.

To take part in this Competition, you must complete the steps set out in “What do I need to do to take part in this Competition?”. The Competition will run for a specific period of time and may begin at any time within the Competition Period. The beginning of the Competition will be announced by Influencer Partner McFly & Carlito (the “Host”).

How am I selected to participate in the Competition?

On 20 June 2024, Revolut will select five (5) Eligible Participants randomly (by ticket number) to participate in the Competition. Eligible Participants who failed to indicate to Pétanque Explorer that they were interested to participate by the appropriate deadline will not be considered. Selected participants will receive an email from Revolut on the same day to inform them that they were selected (the “Confirmation Email”).

Additional Eligible Participants may be selected under the same conditions if one or several Eligible Participants decline to participate or fail to confirm their participation within the appropriate deadline (see below section What do I need to do to confirm my participation?). Additional Eligible Participants may receive a Confirmation Email after 20 June 2024.

What do I need to do to confirm my participation?

If you qualify as an Eligible Participant and if you have been selected to participate by Revolut, you must confirm your participation in the Competition within a deadline of one (1) day, running from 10 a.m. on the day on which the Confirmation Email was sent to you and ending at 10 a.m. on the following day.

To confirm your participation in the Competition, you must click on the link provided in the Confirmation Email. Please be mindful of scams and avoid clicking on any links other than the one provided by Revolut. You will then be prompted to sign in using your Revolut Personal Account credentials and to confirm your participation. You must use your own Revolut Personal Account to sign in and you may not use the account of someone else.

Failure to complete any of the steps listed in this section and/or to maintain your Revolut account open until the Prize is credited will prevent you from participating in the Competition and/or from winning the Prize.

What do I need to do to win the Prize?

To win the Prize, you must have confirmed your participation in the Competition under the conditions described in the Competition Terms. You also need to complete the following steps before the end of the Competition Period:

  • physically take part in the Competition at the Competition Venue (it’s free to play);
  • from the place designated by the Host, throw your pétanque ball in such a way as to hit those placed in front of you, following all the instructions provided by the Host; and
  • you must have hit the most pétanque balls at the end of the five attempts.

You can participate in the Competition only once and you will be able to throw only five (5) balls. However, in the unlikely event of a tie - i.e., two participants have hit the same number of pétanque balls after their five attempts - they will be invited to throw five new balls each, according to the same rules, until one participant is declared the winner. The Eligible Participant who has hit the most pétanque balls at the end of the five attempts will be declared the winner of the Competition. We will only award one Prize.

How does the winner get the Prize?

The name of the three participants who have hit the most balls will be announced over loudspeaker by the Host and they will be invited to place themselves on a podium.

Once their name is called, the winner must present themselves on the first spot of the podium at the Contest venue to collect a Revolut giant card. If they do not collect the card, the Prize will go to the person who scored second on the podium and all rights and claims of the first winner to the Prize will be forfeited. If the second winner fails to collect the card on stage, the Prize will go to the person who scored third on the podium and all rights and claims of previous winners to the Prize will be forfeited.

Revolut will credit a sum of 5,000 euros to the Revolut Personal Account used by the final winner to confirm participation in the Competition. This sum will be credited within 5 business days from the day of the Competition. Revolut will not be held responsible for crediting the Prize to an incorrect Revolut account if this account is the one that was used to confirm participation.

Revolut does not place restrictions on the way the winner will be able to use the Prize.
