What is this promotion about?
Revolut is offering its prospective new Personal customers on any plan residing in one of the Eligible Countries (as set on the promotion landing page) the opportunity to take part in the Revolut x NBA Paris Games 2025 Pre-sale Giveaway Promotion (the “Promotion”).
The Promotion allows Eligible Participants to:
- sign up to Revolut for the first time and receive EUR 20 (or currency equivalent) credited to their account (the “New Customer Offer”); and
- be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win 2x upper bowl tickets to the NBA Paris Games 2025 and EUR 1,000 (the “Prize”)
To take part in this Promotion, you must complete the Required steps set out below before the end of the Promotion Period (as set on the promotion landing page).
These terms and conditions (the “Promotion Terms”) are drafted for customers of Revolut Bank UAB, Sucursal en España and set out the rules that apply to this Promotion. You must comply with these Promotion Terms and the Personal terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account at all times when participating in this Promotion.
Who is eligible for this Promotion?
To be considered an “Eligible Participant” for this Promotion you must meet the following “Eligibility Criteria”:
- have a residential address in Spain;
- not have or have previously held a Revolut Personal account with any Revolut group entity; and
- be at least 18 years of age.
How do I earn the New Customer Offer?
Prospective new Personal customers wanting to earn the New Customer Offer must complete the following Required Steps:
- Click on the Promotion unique link provided on the NBA’s website, app, or social media, and as provided by the NBA’s affiliates primarily through banners on their websites, or on any other marketing promotion (including influencers social media channels);.
- Successfully open a Revolut Personal account through that link; and
- Complete a first genuine card transaction of at least EUR 0.01 (or currency equivalent).
All of these steps must be completed during the Promotion Period.
You must use the unique link provided as part of this Promotion to sign up to Revolut. If you sign up using the normal account opening process in our app, you will not be able to take part.
Your first card payment can be made using a physical or virtual Revolut card linked to your Revolut Personal account. It must be a genuine purchase (for example, transactions to payment service providers, other bank accounts and e-wallets will not be genuine).
The Revolut group entity that provides you with your Personal account will credit the New Customer Offer to the main balance of your Revolut Personal account within 10 business days of the required card payment successfully completing.
How do I enter the prize draw?
Within 5 business days after the end of the Promotion Period, we will include the Revolut usernames of all Eligible Participants, who Successfully open a Revolut Personal account through the Promotion unique link, in the prize draw, and we will randomly select one as the winner.
If you are the winner, we will notify you via email (to the email address registered to your Personal account). You will have 48 hours from the time we initially reach out to you to accept the Prize. If you do not respond within this time, we will randomly select another Eligible Participant from the Prize Draw to be the winner.
If we contact you to tell you have won but within 48 hours of contacting you we realise that you no longer meet the criteria to be considered an Eligible Participant, we will be unable to award you with the Prize, and we will randomly select another Eligible Participant from the Prize Draw to be the winner.
Each Eligible Participant who is selected as a winner will have the same amount of time to accept the Prize.
Our decisions on how to run and manage the Promotion, including the selection of the winner, are final and binding.
What other legal information should I know?
1. NBA in these Promotion Terms refers to NBA Properties Inc., the National Basketball Association (the “NBA”), and the NBA member teams (collectively, the “NBA Entities”).
2. We may change, suspend or end the Promotion earlier than the end date we’ve mentioned above if, in our reasonable opinion, the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation, or due to unforeseen circumstances which may make it impossible for us to offer the Prize with the NBA or their affiliates. We may suspend or end the Promotion on an individual or promotion-wide basis.
3. If we need to change, suspend or end the Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period, we will give you notice through the app and/or email. Any changes to the Promotion will not affect your rights, if you have already participated in the Promotion. Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination.
4. We may decide not to grant you the Prize if any of the following applies before we are due to send you the tickets:
- we become aware you are no longer an Eligible Participant because your Revolut Personal account becomes suspended or restricted;
- you engage in fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (for example, attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception); and/or
- you breach these Promotion Terms or the terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account.
5. If you sign up for a Revolut Personal account as part of this Promotion, we may not award you or may reverse the New Customer Offer (we will consider the reversal to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorised by you) if any of the following applies:
- the relevant card payment was unsuccessful and/or was cancelled or reverted;
- your Revolut Personal account becomes suspended or restricted;
- you engage in fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (for example, attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception); and/or
- you breach these Promotion Terms or the terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account.
6. Please ensure you are aware of the Terms of Use of the NBA Paris Game 2025 event. Revolut will not be responsible for any issues, queries or claims that you may have in relation to these partners.
7. Employees of NBA Entities, including affiliates, agents and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of such employees, are not eligible for and cannot take part in this Promotion.
8. Please take into account that both Prizes (New Customer Offer and Prize) are subject to the Personal Income Tax as income from movable capital subject to withholding (according to applicable legislation and without prejudice to the provisions of the provincial tax systems). You, as the recipient of those Prizes, must declare an income from movable capital in your savings tax base determined by the full amount of the Prizes received, and may deduct the withheld amount from the personal income tax quote. The full amount of the Prizes will be the amount communicated in these Promotion T&Cs plus the tax we are obliged to withhold. We will levy on that amount the 19 % withholding tax and the Prizes amounts will result of that calculation.
9. These Promotion Terms are published in Spanish. If they are translated into another language, the translation is for reference only and the Spanish language version of the Promotion Terms shall prevail. The Spanish version of these Promotion Terms shall be used in any legal proceedings.
10. The NBA Entities and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, assignees, advertising/promotion agencies, representatives, and agents are not liable for and will be held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss or damage to an Eligible Participant who purchases a ticket or tickets, or any third party, directly or indirectly, by any reason, including the purchase of ticket/s through the Pre-Sale Ticket Access and/or participation in this Promotion.
11. If you are a winner, you agree that NBA Entities may take video recordings or photographs of you in connection with the Promotion (unless you specifically tell us or the NBA that you do not wish to be filmed or photographed), and use such video recordings or photographs for advertising, trade purposes or for any other lawful purpose. You also acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to receive any compensation (financial or otherwise) in respect of the NBA’s usage of such video recordings or photographs.
12. If you sign up for a Revolut Personal account as part of this Promotion, Revolut will process your personal data in compliance with our Customer Privacy Notice.
