Revolut, the financial superapp, has today launched a limited-edition poppy card in partnership with the Royal British Legion and Visa. The card provides Revolut’s UK customers with a new way to show their support for the Poppy Appeal in its centenary year.

To get a poppy card, customers must donate at least £5 to the Royal British Legion through the Revolut app - the Royal British Legion receives 100% of the donation. Delivery fees apply and customers need to be on the latest version of the app - 8.27.

The card, which is made from recycled materials, prominently features the Royal British Legion’s red poppy on a white background with red trim. The red poppy is a symbol of both remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.

The poppy card is the latest addition to the existing partnership between Revolut and the Royal British Legion, which started during the pandemic. Since last year, customers have been able to support the Legion each time they spend by automatically rounding up their card transactions to the nearest pound and instantly donating the difference.

Revolut users are also able to make regular recurring payments or one-off donations. 100% of each donation goes directly to the Poppy Appeal and the service is completely free for the Royal British Legion.

Alan Chang, Chief Revenue Officer, Revolut said: “We are thrilled to be launching the poppy card which enables our customers to instantly support the Poppy Appeal - a cause Revolut is proud to support. The work of the Legion is more vital than ever so I hope that people will give generously this year.”

Ben France, Head of Corporate Partnerships at the Royal British Legion said: “We’re delighted that Revolut are launching their Poppy Card just in time for our Centenary Poppy Appeal this year. The new poppy card gives Revolut customers another way to show their support for the RBL. With our volunteers back on the streets this year after being unable to collect in 2020, and the ability for people to make cashless donations through partners like Revolut, there are more ways than ever to donate and show your support for the Poppy Appeal. Every donation helps ensure that the RBL can continue providing vital services to our Armed Forces community whenever they are in need.”

Jill Docherty, Head of Business Development, UK&I, Visa said: "We’re proud to play a part in Revolut’s Poppy Appeal campaign and help encourage donations to the Royal British Legion. By lending the voices of our Team Visa athletes, we’re hoping to increase awareness of this important cause and help generate even more donations in this momentous year for the RBL.”
