What happens to payments sent to local account details after 18 March 2021?

Unfortunately, from 18 March 2021, Revolut will no longer have access to local payment schemes and all our customers will change to their LT IBANs.

This means that any payment sent to local account details won't be credited to your account and will be returned to the sender. There is no option to keep these account details and continue using them to receive payments.

Payments to local account details can take 1-3 business days to be returned to the sender. If the sender hasn't received the returned funds they should contact their bank.

We won't charge you any fees for returned payments but the sender’s bank might do.
