What is the difference between User and Employee profiles?

A User profile is either an account owner or a team member invited to a Revolut Business account with a defined Role.

Employee profiles are team members invited as a specific type of cardholder, created during the card order process.

  • As of December 2020, it's no longer possible to create an employee profile. Any existing employee profiles will soon be converted to a user profile and they'll be notified
  • Employee profiles have their own set of predetermined permissions
  • Employees will only be able to log in to the mobile app and will only be able to see their own cards details and transactions
