New York – Revolut, the financial superapp with over 18 million customers worldwide, has announced today it’s expanding its US leadership with the appointment of Yuval Rechter as General Manager and Danil Ovechkin as Head of Growth. Joining during a period of hyper-growth, Mr. Rechter and Mr. Ovechkin will play pivotal roles in driving Revolut’s marketing and expansion efforts in the US.

As US General Manager, Mr. Rechter will be responsible for building and scaling Revolut’s brand and business in the US. He joins Revolut after a successful stint leading growth and creator partnerships at Flip Social Shopping, the first-ever vertically integrated platform where social meets commerce. Previously, he spent seven years at digital media company, First Media, where he built the largest social media publisher and performance marketing agency targeting millennial and Gen Z audiences, driving significant growth for consumer brands including Walmart, HelloFresh, Procter and Gamble, among others.

Revolut has also recruited Danil Ovechkin as US Head of Growth. Mr. Ovechkin joins Revolut after leading growth for Healthtech company, Thirty Madison. Previously, he managed growth marketing for consumer brands such as meal kit delivery company, HelloFresh and dog food delivery service, Ollie. Equipped with illustrious marketing experience across health, ecommerce, and DTC industries, Mr. Ovechkin will play a key role in spearheading Revolut’s US marketing and growth efforts to effectively scale the brand.

Yuval Rechter, Revolut US General Manager, said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Revolut as we further establish and grow our brand in the US. The pandemic has supercharged the digitalization of banking and Revolut is the best answer for US consumers seeking greater value, transparency, and flexibility in how they manage their money. With an exciting roadmap of user-centric product launches and creative campaigns ahead, I look forward to working with the US team to make Revolut a household name.”

Danil Ovechkin, Revolut US Head of Growth, added: “Having led growth initiatives for a variety of consumer brands across multiple sectors, I’m thrilled to be at Revolut, a global financial superapp that is so clearly and thoughtfully designed to enhance the financial lives of consumers in the US and around the world. Revolut has built an extraordinary product, cultivating a global reputation and a fervent customer base largely through word-of-mouth as a result. Looking ahead in 2022, we’re hyperfocused on accelerating our marketing efforts and scaling our business in the US.”

Revolut is quickly scaling up its recruitment across the US with opportunities at all levels of seniority. Early priorities include affiliates, offline channels, and performance marketing. Revolut currently employs 85 people across the US with offices in New York, San Francisco, and Dallas.

Since Revolut launched in the U.S. in March 2020, the financial superapp has doubled down its expansion efforts to build a platform that provides users with a single app to manage all of their finances. Constantly refining its product with user experience top-of-mind, Revolut enabled US customers to make up to 10 zero fee international money transfers per month to bank accounts in Mexico in up to 30 minutes. Now, with an unparalleled remittance offering available and other key financial products such as unsecured personal loans on the horizon, Revolut is paving its path towards becoming the superapp consumers need to achieve financial freedom.
