The interbank exchange rate is applied to all transactions with exception to a few less liquid currencies such as Thai Baht and Ukrainian Hryvnia. For these less liquid currencies, the best possible exchange rate is given at the time of purchase.
During the weekend, when the currency markets are closed, a small markup ranging from 0.5 to 2% is applied on top of the interbank exchange rate. This will depend on the particular currency.
A flat markup of 1.5% is also applied on each card payment funded by a cryptocurrency balance regardless of the day of the week, in order to cover our costs for helping with the exchange.
Also, we strongly recommend that you always choose to pay in the local currency when abroad as some merchants will charge you in your base currency and then apply their own foreign exchange fees on top.
