Standing orders are card payments that you make regularly, such as for a software subscription or streaming service.
Once the card details are provided to set up a subscription, a merchant has the right to send an authorisation accordingly to the subscription agreement and corresponding billing plan. It is your decision to give a specific merchant the right to set up a standing order.
To cancel a subscription, go to 'Payments' section, 'Scheduled' tab and see your Card subscriptions there. If you have an active subscription to this merchant, feel free to freeze that card or remove it. You might also want to reach out to the merchant and cancel the payment.
