Life as Operations Managers
How do you approach operations in your day-to-day?
The essentials of operational leadership
As a leader in a soon-to-launch market, how do you view your leadership responsibilities?
Jess: Effective leadership demands solid communication, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and innovative thinking. As a leader, I’m expected to challenge the status quo and find creative solutions to drive the company forward.
Nico: To be a good leader, we must be great problem-solvers and communicators to simplify processes for decision making. By passing on Revolut's core values to each team member, we build trust.
Striking the balance between innovation and compliance
How do you develop new features while managing risks?
Equipping the team for success
What’s the best way to prepare your team for new projects and challenges?
Building a lasting operational infrastructure
What considerations do you face when developing an operational infrastructure from scratch?
Jess: Our main challenge lies in designing an infrastructure to last, scale, and define the foundation for operational success. This is crucial, as it supports our mission to innovate and lead in the financial industry.
Nico: As changes in operational infrastructure are more limited compared to setting up a bank from scratch, we must adapt to local regulations in Mexico by customising our financial crime prevention and support services.
