Freezing a card

As an account administrator, you can freeze or unfreeze Business cards instantly, and at any time. When a card is frozen, no payments can be made, which means the card is made temporarily inactive.

To freeze a card on the web, head to the 'Payments' section and the ‘Cards’ tab of your Revolut Business app. Select the card you would like to freeze, and in settings, click ‘Freeze’. You can follow this same process to unfreeze the card at any time.

Freezing and unfreezing cards on mobile works in a similar way. On the mobile app, head to the ‘Cards’ section, select the card, and then “Freeze card”. Unfreezing the card works the same way.

You can also report your cards as “Lost” or “Stolen” in which case you won’t be able to unfreeze it yourself and will have to order a new one. Surely, you may find your card later, then please contact our support team and we should be able to reactivate your previously lost card.

If you’re not an account administrator, you can freeze your own cards in the mobile app by following the same steps above. Be aware that only administrators can unfreeze cards. If you need to unfreeze a card, please contact your account administrator. You can also mark cards as “Stolen” or “Lost” after freezing them, in which case your administrator will have to order a new card for you.
