Revolut x Sziget Festival 2024 NL Giveaway Promotion
What is this Promotion about?
Revolut is offering prospective new Revolut Personal customers residing in the Netherlands the opportunity to take part in the Revolut x Sziget Festival 2024 Promotion Giveaway (the “Promotion”).
The Promotion allows prospective customers who sign up to Revolut for the first time to:
- receive EUR 20 (or currency equivalent) credited to their newly opened Revolut Personal account (the “New Customer Offer”); and
- be entered into a prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) for a chance to win two 6-day full-passes to the Sziget Festival 2024 (worth 2x EUR 369) and an accommodation voucher for up to EUR 1000 (or currency equivalent) to cover accommodation within the Sziget Festival Campus (the “Prize”).
These terms and conditions (the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to this Promotion. You must comply with these Promotion Terms and the terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account at all times when participating in this Promotion.
To take part in this Promotion, you must meet the eligibility criteria and complete the required steps set out in these Promotion Terms between 6 June 2024 (00:00 CET) and 7 July 2024 (23:59 CET). We call this the “Promotion Period”.
Who is eligible?
To be considered an “Eligible Participant” for the New Customer Offer and Prize Draw you must meet the following “Eligibility Criteria”:
- reside in the Netherlands;
- not have or have previously held a Revolut Personal account with any Revolut group entity; and
- be at least 18 years of age.
You must also complete the following “Required Steps” before the end of the Promotion Period:
- click on the Promotion unique link – this will be provided on the Revolut x Sziget Festival’s website, app, direct communication or in their social media;
- successfully open a Revolut Personal account for the first time through the Promotion unique link; and
- make a first genuine card transaction of at least EUR 0,01 (or currency equivalent).
You must use the Promotion unique link provided as part of this Promotion to sign up for a Revolut Personal account. If you sign up using the normal account opening process in our app, you will not be able to take part in this Promotion.
Your first card payment can be made using a physical or virtual Revolut card linked to your Revolut Personal account. It must be a genuine purchase (for example, transactions to payment service providers, other bank accounts and e-wallets will not be genuine).
How do I earn the New Customer Offer?
If you are an Eligible Participant, the Revolut group entity that provides you with your Personal account will credit the New Customer Offer to the main balance of your Revolut Personal account within 10 business days after you complete the Required Steps.
How do I enter the Prize Draw?
On 8 July 2024, we will include the Revolut usernames of all Eligible Participants in the Prize Draw, and we will randomly select one Eligible Participant as the winner.
If you are the winner, we will notify you via email (to the email address registered to your Personal account). We will provide you with a 48 hour window from the time we initially reach out to you to confirm your availability. If you do not respond within this time, we will randomly select another Eligible Participant from the Prize Draw to be the winner. The 48 hour window will apply to the second drawn Eligible Participant, and so on, until we are able to confirm a winner.
If we contact you to tell you have won but within 48 hours of contacting you we realise that you do not meet the Eligibility Criteria or have not completed the Required Steps, we will be unable to award you with the Prize, and we will randomly select another Eligible Participant from the Prize Draw to be the winner.
Each Eligible Participant who is selected as a winner will have the same amount of time to accept the Prize.
The decisions as to the administration and operation of the Promotion, including the selection of the winner are final and binding.
How do I get the Prize if I am a winner?
Once the winner confirms their availability, Revolut will hand over the winner’s e-mail address and name to Sziget to agree on and to send the Prize. The Prize to the winner will be directly provided by the Sziget via the email address.
The winner of the Prize will be able to invite a plus one who must also be at least 18 years of age from the time the Prize winner is announced.
In the event that you win, you and your plus one are prohibited from negotiating, re-selling (or seeking to re-sell or transfer) your Prize to anyone else or for any market value or cash alternative. We agree to award the winner with two 6-day full-passes (worth 2x EUR 369) and an online accommodation voucher for up to EUR 1000 (or currency equivalent) (to cover accommodation expenses)) in line with these Promotion Terms. This accommodation voucher cannot be exchanged for cash and if the value of the accommodation booked by the winner is lower than EUR 1000 (or currency equivalent), the difference will be lost and the winner will not have any claim to it.
This Promotion will not cover any other costs. You and your plus one will be responsible for paying for any additional costs that arise as a result of your journey and participation in the Sziget Festival. Neither Revolut nor Sziget are responsible for checking and/or applying for any tourist visas that you and/or your plus one may require for your trip, nor are we responsible for any applicable taxes that may arise.
How will you process my data?
If you choose to participate in this Promotion by completing the steps above, we’ll include you in a pool of entrants.
If you are the winner of this Promotion, you acknowledge that we will:
- need details from you and your plus one (including some or all of the following - (name, official document from which the age of your plus one can be verified, email address); and
- share your and your plus one's details with Sziget in order to provide you with the Prize.
For more information about how we handle your personal data, please refer to our Customer Privacy Notice. Any data that may be passed on to Sziget under this Promotion will be processed in accordance with Sziget’s Privacy Policies.
Please ensure you are aware of Sziget’s general terms and conditions and rules for participation (here). Revolut will not be responsible for any issues, queries or claims that you may have in relation to Sziget and their event.
What other legal information should I know?
- Sziget in these Promotion Terms refers to SZIGET Cultural Management Private Company Limited by Shares (the “Sziget Festival” or “Sziget”).
- We hereby confirm that this Promotion is in compliance with the Dutch Code of Conduct on promotional games of chance.
- We may change, suspend or end the Promotion earlier than the end date we’ve mentioned above if, in our reasonable opinion, the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation, or due to unforeseen circumstances which may make it impossible for us to offer the New Customer offer and/or the Prize with the Sziget Festival or their affiliates. We may suspend or end the Promotion on an individual or promotion-wide basis.
- If we need to change, suspend or end the Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period, we will try to give you notice through the app and/or email.
- Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination.
- We may decide not to grant you the Prize if any of the following applies before we are due to award them to you:
- your Revolut Personal account becomes suspended or restricted;
- you engage in fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (for example, attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception); and/or

7. If reverse the New Customer Offer (we will consider the reversal to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorised by you) if any of the following applies:
- the relevant card payment was unsuccessful and/or was cancelled or reverted;
- your Revolut Personal account becomes suspended or restricted;
- you engage in fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (for example, attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception); and/or
- you breach these Promotion Terms or the terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account.
8. Employees of Sziget Festival & Revolut, including affiliates, agents and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of such employees, are not eligible for and cannot take part in this Promotion.
9. These Promotion Terms are published in English. If they are translated into another language, the translation is for reference only and the English language version of the Promotion Terms shall prevail. The English version of these Promotion Terms shall be used in any legal proceedings. If, however, by law the local language should be used, the local language shall prevail.
10. If you have a complaint about this Promotion, please reach out to Support through the App and let them know you want to make a complaint. We’ll look into your complaint and try to resolve things via email as soon as we can.

12. Further to Dutch tax rules on promotional games of chance, Revolut is required by law to withhold taxes from the Prizes on behalf of the winners. The gambling tax rate from January 1, 2024 is 30,5%. The winner's gross Prize is a maximum of EUR 1438,84 for accommodation + 2x EUR 530,94. However, after deducting the gambling taxes, the net Prize is then a maximum of EUR 1000 for accommodation + 2x EUR 369. You can find more information on the Dutch Tax Authorities website.

Dutch law applies to these Promotion Terms and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction.
