Credit

The Credit team is responsible for designing, developing, and launching one of Revolut’s most complex products across multiple countries.

How we work

The function is split into a Core team, and local teams based in credit-operationalised countries, working together to build and localise Revolut’s credit products. Built up of a mixture of developers and product owners, the core team is responsible for delivering the product requirements based on the work of local teams. These local teams gather specifications linked to their respective markets for the core team to implement. The structure of this team is built for scalability, to more easily launch the Credit product to new countries as Revolut expands.

How we collaborate

The complexity of the Credit product means that the team acts like a company within a company and owns all parts of the process: backend and frontend development, data science infrastructure, and localised setup, with scalable risk management and portfolio management solutions. As a global team, they share knowledge through our internal Wiki and across messaging tools like Slack, as well as meeting regularly to feed back on lessons learned.

The Credit team works with other teams across the business in order to optimise integration of the product, and share knowledge and learnings with other products across the business.
