0% Trading Fees and 0% Fair Usage Fees for New Customers


What is the Promotion about?


Revolut Digital Asset Europe Ltd is offering new crypto retail customers the opportunity to trade crypto with 0% trading fees and 0% fair usage fees for a limited time, in accordance with these terms (the “Promotion”). Only our trading fees and fair usage fees are reduced to 0% during the Promotion Period (as defined below). Our 0% trading fees mean that you will not be charged any exchange fees (being the exchange fees that would ordinarily apply as set out in our Fee Pages) for your eligible trade; however, our exchange rate, which includes a spread, continues to apply. Likewise, our 0% fair usage fees mean that you will not be charged any fair usage fee (being the fair usage fees that would ordinarily apply as set out in our Fee Pages) on your eligible trades during the Promotion Period, even if you exceed your plan's fair usage limit. Separately, fees for other actions - including withdrawing crypto (a Revolut service fee plus a blockchain network fee) - are not part of this Promotion and will continue to apply as set out in our Fee Pages. This Promotion therefore does not constitute a "free" service, and you should review the applicable fees and any other charges set out in our Fee Pages prior to completing any transaction.


These terms and conditions (the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to the Promotion. When participating in the Promotion, you must comply with these Promotion Terms, as well as the terms and conditions that apply to your Revolut personal cryptocurrency account with Revolut Digital Asset Europe Ltd (the “Crypto Account”).


The specific information relevant for this Promotion will be specified on the notification via email, in-app message or a push notification inviting you to participate in the Promotion, (the “Promotion Invitation”). The Promotion Invitation will specify:

  • The eligible markets for the Promotion;
  • The time period during which you can sign up to participate in this Promotion (the “Participation Window”); and
  • Details of the Promotion.


Who is eligible for this Promotion?

The Promotion is available only to new crypto retail customers who are ‘Eligible Participants’. It is:

  1. not directed at, or available to, persons resident in any country other than an eligible market specified in the Promotion Invitation;
  2. not available to business, or corporate customers or any other non-retail customers, and does not apply to any trades placed through Revolut X or any channel other than the Revolut retail app.


We may verify eligibility and withhold or withdraw the benefit where these conditions are not met.


A new crypto retail customer is an "Eligible Participant" for this Promotion if they:

  • have successfully onboarded with Revolut Digital Asset Europe Ltd for cryptoasset services during the Participation Window specified in the Promotion Invitation, which requires you to open a Crypto Account with RDAEL and accept the terms and conditions that govern it;
  • are resident in an eligible market specified in the Promotion Invitation; and
  • have not previously signed up for a cryptoasset account with a Revolut entity offering cryptoasset services.


The Promotion only applies to Eligible Trades (as defined below).


What counts as an Eligible Trade?


An Eligible Trade is a trade executed during the Promotion Period (as defined below) which falls within one of the following types of transactions:

  • Buying or selling individual cryptoassets: Purchasing or selling supported cryptoassets through the Revolut app for your own account (e.g. BTC, ETH).
  • Buying or selling crypto collections: Trading bundled crypto products for your own account, where users can buy or sell pre-curated sets of cryptoassets grouped by a common theme.
  • Crypto send transactions funded by a fiat conversion: Sending cryptoassets to another Revolut user or an external wallet, where doing so requires a conversion from fiat to cryptoassets. Only the fiat-to-crypto conversion element qualifies for 0% trading fees; any applicable network or withdrawal fees continue to be charged in accordance with our Fee Pages.


Any transactions completed outside the Promotion Period are not covered by the Promotion and will be subject to standard fees in accordance with the terms and conditions governing your Crypto Account.


You will be able to execute an Eligible Trade with 0% trading fees and 0% fair usage fees for a period which ends at the end of the day which is 30 calendar days from the date of your acceptance of these Promotion Terms (the “Promotion Period”). For example, if you accept these Promotion Terms on 25 July, your Promotion Period ends at 23:59 on 24 August.


Upon expiration of the Promotion Period, standard trading and fair usage fees automatically apply.


How do I participate in the Promotion?


You accept these Promotion Terms as part of your onboarding with RDAEL for cryptoasset services during the Participation Window. Your Promotion Period begins on the date of that acceptance, and, once you have onboarded, we will notify you via in-app notification and/or email confirming that your Promotion Period has started and its expiry date. You can also check the status of your Promotion at any time within the Revolut app. When executing an Eligible Trade during your Promotion Period, the applicable 0% trading fee and 0% fair usage fee will be reflected in the fee breakdown shown to you at the point of trade, before you confirm the transaction.


Important Risk Warning


Cryptoassets are high risk and highly volatile. You could lose all the money you invest. Unlike traditional banking deposits, crypto-assets are not covered by any investor protection scheme or deposit guarantee scheme. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The promotional 0% trading fees and 0% fair usage fees do not alter these inherent asset risks. Only trade if it aligns with your financial capacity.

What other legal information should I know?

  1. We may change, suspend or end the Promotion earlier than the end of your Promotion Period if, in our reasonable opinion, the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect our goodwill or reputation or fraud, manipulation or other misuse of the Promotion has occurred or is likely to occur, or where we are required to do so to comply with applicable law or any regulatory or court requirement. We may do this on an individual or promotion-wide basis.
  2. If we need to change, suspend or end the Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period, we will announce this in the same way the Promotion was announced and, we will give you reasonable notice through email and in-app message, where practicable. Any Eligible Trade that has been fully executed prior to the effective time of any such change, suspension or termination will retain the benefit of the 0% fees for that trade. Any changes to the Promotion Terms will not affect your rights, if you have already participated in the Promotion.
  3. We will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of our control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned. Please contact one of our support agents through the Revolut app if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination. Nothing in these Promotion Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to exclude or limit it, including any liability that cannot be excluded under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
  4. If you wish to close your Crypto Account before the end of your Promotion Period, you may do so at any time in accordance with the terms and conditions governing your Crypto Account. If you close your Crypto Account or your account with a company in the Revolut group that provides you with payment or other regulated services, or any of your Revolut accounts becomes suspended or restricted or in case that you breach any of the terms and conditions that govern any of your Revolut accounts, before the expiry of the Promotion Period, you will no longer be able to avail yourself of the Promotion.
  5. We need to process your personal data to perform our obligations under these Promotion Terms. For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Customer Privacy Notice.


This Promotion is organised, and offered to you, by Revolut Digital Asset Europe Ltd with a registered address of Omonoias 13, SOHO Office (Embassy), 3052, Limassol, Cyprus that provides you with your Crypto Account. If you have a complaint about this Promotion, you can raise it directly with Revolut Digital Asset Europe Ltd.


These Promotion Terms are provided to you in English and, where required by local law, in the official language of your country of residence. In the event of any inconsistency between the language versions, the interpretation most favourable to you as a consumer will prevail.


These Promotion Terms are governed by Cyprus law, which does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the EEA country where you live. As a consumer, you may bring proceedings against us in the courts of Cyprus or in the courts of your country of residence.
