How can we help?

What are Scheduled Payments?

Scheduled Payments are payments that are made regularly or repeatedly from your accounts. They include the following:

Recurring payment

This is a scheduled bank transfer that repeats at regular intervals, which you’ve set up between yourself and someone else. In Revolut, we call these “Recurring Payments”, but other people might call them “Standing Orders”. Learn how to set one up here.

Direct debit

This is where you give companies your account details and authorise them to collect payments from your account. They’re usually for things like utility bills, rent or mortgage payments.

Recurring card payment

This is where you give a company your card details and authorise them to take payments from you in the future. These are normally for things like monthly or annual subscriptions, like Netflix, Spotify or Apple Music. In Revolut, we call these “recurring card payments”, but other people might call them a “continuous payment authority” or “merchant initiated payment”.
