What is the Promotion about?
Revolut Securities Europe UAB (“Revolut”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is offering customers residing in Ireland and Spain the opportunity to receive the Robo-Advisor services without paying the Management Fee for a certain period, as set out below (the “Promotion”).
The Promotion for users in Ireland and Spain will run from 00:00 UTC on 5 August 2024 till 23:59 UTC on 10 February 2025 (the "Promotion Period"). We may wish to extend the Promotion Period by amending these Promotion Terms.
These terms set out the rules that apply to the Promotion (the “Promotion Terms”). When participating in this Promotion, you must comply with these Promotion Terms, as well as our Robo-Advisor Terms that apply to your Robo-Advisor services together with our Revolut Trading Terms. If a word or phrase is not defined in these Promotion Terms, it will have the meaning given to it in the Robo-Advisor Terms or Revolut Trading Terms.
To access and benefit from the Promotion, you must meet the Eligibility Criteria and complete the Required Steps set out in these Promotion Terms during the Promotion Period.
Before using the Robo-Advisor services, please read our Description of Services, Financial Instruments and Risks document to understand the main risks associated with our Robo-Advisor services.
Who is eligible for this Promotion?
To be considered an “Eligible Participant” for this Promotion you must meet the following “Eligibility Criteria”:
- you have a residential address in Spain or Ireland;
- you have not opened Robo-Advisor Account with us and never used our Robo-Advisor services prior to the start of the Promotion Period (having an investment account with us does not eliminate you from this Promotion);
- either receive marketing directly from us via email/push notification about this Promotion or see the Promotion marketed in the Revolut app (either in-app banner or in-app inbox message) (the “Promotional Material”) so you can follow the below steps to benefit from the Promotion. You will only receive marketing from us if you have already provided your personal data to us and are happy for Revolut to send marketing to you.
You will also need to complete the “Required Steps” within 10 days after receiving the Promotional Material:
- click on the unique Promotion link in the email/push notification, in-app banner and/or in-app inbox message and follow the steps for onboarding to Robo-Advisor with us (you may be required to open an investment account with us before you can open a Robo-Advisor Account and participate in the Promotion);
- successfully onboard to Robo-Advisor product, which will require you to complete the Suitability Assessment;
- Deposit a Minimum Investment Amount of EUR 100 into your Robo-Advisor Account.
You must use the Promotion unique link provided as part of this Promotion to sign up for a Robo-Advisor product. You will need to complete the Required Steps within 10 days of receiving the Promotional Material.
The Promotion is only open to clients of Revolut who have never opened a Robo-Advisor Account with us before. That means, that if you have previously opened a Robo-Advisor Account and terminated it thereafter, you will not be eligible for the Promotion.
You understand that if our Robo-Advisor service is not suitable for you based on your Suitability Assessment, you will not be eligible for this Promotion.
If you use the Robo-Advisor product without following the requirements set out in these Promotion Terms (for instance, onboarding to our Robo-Advisor product without clicking on the unique Promotion link), you will not be eligible for this Promotion.
How do I start my Free Trial Period?
If you meet the Eligibility Criteria and complete the Required Steps indicated in the section “Who is eligible for this Promotion?“ of these Promotion Terms, we will waive our Management fee during the “Free Trial Period”. Your Free Trial Period will start after you have completed the Required Steps indicated above. Your Free Trial Period will be outlined in the Promotional Material received from us.
After your Free Trial Period ends, you will remain our Robo-Advisor client, unless you tell us otherwise, and standard annual Management Fee of 0.75% of the total market value of your Portfolio will automatically apply. You can find further details on our Robo-Advisor product fees in the Robo-Advisor Terms (please see the “What fees will we charge you?” section for more information).
We will not inform you about the ending of your Free Trial Period.
If you do not wish to receive Robo-Advisor services during, or after the end of, your Free Trial Period, you will be able to close the relevant Robo-Advisor Portfolio or terminate the Robo-Advisor Agreement. This will result in us selling all your financial instruments in your relevant Portfolio in accordance with Clause 13 (“Termination and Portfolio closure”) of your Robo-Advisor Terms.
You understand that other fees in relation to Robo-Advisor services that are not charged or controlled by us may apply.
What other legal information should I know?
- For people resident in Spain or Ireland, the Promotion is organized and offered by Revolut Securities Europe UAB, a company whose registered address is at Konstitucijos ave. 21B, 08130, Vilnius, the Republic of Lithuania. - If we deem, in our reasonable opinion, that the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation, we might change, suspend or end the Promotion immediately. We may do this on an individual or promotion-wide basis.
- If we need to change, suspend, extend or end the Promotion during the Promotion Period, we will announce this in the same way the Promotion was announced.
- Any changes to the Promotion Terms will not affect your rights, if you have already participated in the Promotion. If we change these Promotion Terms we will publish the updated version of these Promotion Terms on our website.
- You may close your Portfolio and/or terminate the Robo-Advisor agreement at any time during the Free Trial Period by following the rules indicated in the Robo-Advisor Terms, however you will not be able to re-enter the Promotion. Additionally, if your Robo-Advisor Account or investment account becomes restricted or suspended, you will lose the entitlement to the benefits under this Promotion.
- Your participation in the Promotion will only be valid if it is confirmed by us. If, in accordance with our terms and conditions, we have reasonable grounds to refuse to onboard you to our investment services or accept your deposit, you won’t be eligible for this Promotion even if you meet other Eligibility Criteria and have completed Required Steps.
- Each Eligible Participant can participate in the Promotion one time only and only during the Promotion Period. Therefore, once you have received the Free Trial Period, it can’t be extended or renewed.
- You cannot ask us to invite you to the Promotion if you weren’t chosen or ask us to extend it if you miss it.
- We reserve the right to remove you from the Promotion, if you breach the terms that apply to Robo-Advisor Terms, Revolut Trading Terms, Revolut personal account, or if we become aware you were not compliant with these Promotion Terms.
- If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have engaged in any fraud or material abuse of the Promotion (such as for example attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception) we may in our sole discretion take any actions we see fit in the circumstances.
- We might prohibit you from entering into this Promotion if we are required to do so under applicable laws or if we have reasonable grounds to believe that participation in such Promotion would be against your best interests.
- Events beyond the control of Revolut Securities Europe UAB may occur that render this Promotion impossible. Revolut Securities Europe UAB will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned.
- Revolut Securities Europe UAB will send marketing to its existing customers in compliance with applicable data privacy and direct electronic marketing laws. If you do not want to receive marketing from Revolut Securities Europe UAB you may manage your marketing preferences in the Revolut app. Revolut Securities Europe UAB and other Revolut group entities process your personal data in compliance with our Customer Privacy Notice.
- Promotion Terms are published in English and any translation is a courtesy and an unofficial translation only - participants of the Promotion cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in any legal proceedings.
- For the customers of Revolut Securities Europe UAB, to the extent permitted by law, these Promotion Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Despite this, you can still rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules of the EEA country where you live. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Promotion Terms shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in the Republic of Lithuania (or in the courts of any EEA Member State where you reside).
