Discounted Fees Offer for Paid Plans

What is the Promotion about?

Revolut is offering selected Paid Plan Personal customers residing in Germany the opportunity to upgrade to another one of our Paid subscription plans (“Paid Plan”) at a discounted fee (the “Discounted Fee”) for a limited period of time (the “Discounted Fee Period”), which will be displayed in the Promotion Invitation before you decide to upgrade. Selected customers will be able to access this Promotion via the Plan dashboard in their Revolut app or via the Promotion Invitation.


The Discounted Fee in this Promotion is a fee that is lower than the usual fee payable by customers for the chosen Paid Plan.


These terms and conditions along with the Promotion Communication inviting you to participate in this Promotion (together the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to the Promotion. When participating in this Promotion, you must comply with these Promotion Terms, as well as:

  • the terms and conditions that apply to your Revolut Personal account; and
  • the terms and conditions relevant to your offered subscription plan, where applicable.


This Promotion runs for a defined period of time (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion start and end date will be clearly set out in the Promotion communication via email, push, inbox, tile or product articles (the “Promotion Invitation ”). To take part in this Promotion, you must meet the eligibility criteria and complete the required steps set out in the Promotion Invitation before the end of the Promotion Period.


Who is eligible for this Promotion?

To be considered an “Eligible Participant” for this Promotion you must meet the following “Eligibility Criteria”:

  • have been successfully onboarded as a Revolut customer (this means you must have passed our Know Your Customer checks and have no restrictions on your account);
  • have a residential address in Germany ;
  • be or become a customer of the German branch of Revolut (Revolut Bank UAB, Zweigniederlassung Deutschland);
  • have received an email and/or push and/or see an in-app invitation for you to participate in the promotion (the “Promotion Invitation”); and
  • Upgrade your Paid Plan subscription during the Promotion Period as defined in the Promotion Invitation.


How do I start my Discounted Fee Period?

If you are an Eligible Participant, you can start your Discounted Fee Period by following the instructions in the Promotion Invitation .


You must accept the Discounted Fee in your Revolut app to start your Discounted Fee Period.


Discounted Fee

During the Discounted Fee Period we will charge you the Discounted Fee. You can see your Discounted Fee at any time in the Plan dashboard section of the app.


After your Discounted Fee Period ends, you will remain on the chosen Paid Plan, on the non-discounted fee, unless you downgrade your Paid Plan subscription before the Discounted Fee Period ends. You can downgrade your plan for free at any point during the Discounted Fee Period but please be aware that you still need to honour any minimum term applicable to your paid plan. This means if the minimum term of the plan you were on before you upgraded your plan as part of this Promotion was still running, you can only downgrade to this plan. If you haven’t downgraded during the Discounted Fee Period, normal cancellation and billing rules will apply (see the Paid Plan Terms, Fee pages). Both during the Discounted Fee Period and after the Discounted Fee Period ends, we will take payment for your Paid Plan monthly or annually as defined in the Promotion Invitation .

In order to check the start date of your subscription please go to the ‘Profile’ -> ‘Plan’ -> ‘Billing Details’ section on your Revolut, and to check how you can downgrade, please go ‘Profile’ -> ‘Plan’ -> ‘Change Plan’ section.


Right to cancel

In addition to the statutory 14 days withdrawal period (see full withdrawal notice in section 6 of the Personal Terms), you have the right to cancel your subscription plan within the Discounted Fee Period (your “cooling off period”), after which normal cancellation rules will apply.

This means that a minimum term during which you cannot downgrade may apply (see the Paid Plan Terms for more information).


Keep in mind that if the minimum term of the plan you were on before you upgraded is still running, cancellation of the new subscription will result in returning to the previous plan.


Physical Revolut card

You can order one physical Revolut card free of charge during your Discounted Fee Period . However, if you decide to cancel your Free Paid Plan subscription during your cooling off period, you will have to pay us the following:

  • fee for the delivery of the card; and
  • the card itself if you ordered a “Metal” or “Ultra” card.


If you order any additional Revolut cards during the Discount Fee Period, you may be charged the card delivery fee and a fee for the additional card itself .

What other legal information should I know?

  1. We may change, suspend or end the Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period if, in our reasonable opinion, the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation. We may do this on an individual or promotion-wide basis. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of this early suspension or termination.
  2. If we need to change, suspend or end the Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period, we will announce this in the same way the Promotion was announced and, where possible, we will try to give you notice through an email, push notification and/or in-app Inbox message. Any changes to the Promotion Terms will not affect your rights, if you have already participated in the Promotion.
  3. Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination.
  4. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have engaged in any fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (such as for example attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception), your Discounted Fee Period will end immediately and you will be charged a portion of your Paid Plan subscription fees corresponding to the period of time used until your Discounted Fee Period ended.
  5. If you close your Revolut Personal account or your account becomes suspended or restricted before we grant you your Discounted Fee , you will lose your entitlement to it.
  6. Revolut needs to process your personal data to perform our obligations under these Promotion Terms. For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Customer Privacy Notice.
  7. These terms are published in German and any translation is a courtesy and an unofficial translation only. Participants of the Promotion cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The German language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The German version shall be used in any legal proceedings.

This Promotion is organised and offered to you by Revolut Bank UAB, Zweigniederlassung Deutschland, with a registered address FORA Linden Palais, Unter den Linden 40, 10117 Berlin, Germany. If you have a complaint about this Promotion, you can raise it directly with them. The law that applies to these Promotion Terms is German Law, and the competent courts of Germany have jurisdiction.
