The story of RevDev: exploring the evolution of our first tech event

How is it possible to show the world what talent and technology can achieve?

The spark behind RevDev was a simple idea: to create something bigger than just updates or technical notes on development at Revolut. We envisioned a community—a vibrant space where software engineers and other tech enthusiasts could truly connect, learn, and share in the energy of what it’s like to be a part of a dynamic and leading fintech in the industry.

Driven by this vision, we brought together some of the brightest minds, crafting a project that could travel across cities and countries. RevDev isn’t just about showcasing our work; it’s about celebrating the people and innovations that power it forward, inviting everyone to be part of our journey.

Bringing Revolut tech to everyone

RevDev delivers valuable content that merges technological insights with practical applications, while also highlighting the human stories behind innovation. Our speakers, including engineers and the talent acquisition team, share experiences that reflect life at Revolut. This blend of technical and personal narratives makes RevDev events both informative and inspiring for attendees.

Our Head of Engineering for Revolut Business, Wojtek Ptak, is a firm believer in open and accessible knowledge for all. From first talks to thriving community

It all began on 21 June 2022, when tech enthusiasts gathered at Revolut's Kraków office for the inaugural RevDev talks. Spearheaded by Karolina Kubala, our Employer Branding Manager and a passionate advocate for the event, this initially modest gathering quickly gained traction.

In just 2 years, RevDev has become a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, hosting 10 impactful events that showcase the essence of our tech culture. Throughout this inspiring journey, our dedicated team of engineers, recruiters, employer branding managers, and creatives have organised record-breaking events that truly capture the spirit of technology and collaboration at Revolut. they offer exclusive tech talks, engaging networking opportunities, and a fun experience full of delicious snacks and hospitality.

A world of possibilities where, after 2 years and more than 10 successful events, we must evolve and go beyond. As part of our plans to expand our reach even further, our next stop this November will be in São Paulo, Brazil, where we aim to engage the local tech community with a unique event.

This special edition celebrates RevDev’s achievements and marks a significant milestone for us in the tech sector, standing shoulder to shoulder with other global events. As we plan for 2025, we envision a renewed RevDev with fresh ideas to connect and reach more people interested in technology within Revolut.
