Discounted Fees Offer for Paid Plans

What is the Promotion about?

Revolut is offering selected Personal customers with a paid plan residing in Switzerland (the “Eligible Market”) the opportunity to upgrade to a higher Paid subscription plans (“Paid Plan”) at a discounted fee (the “Discounted Fee”) for a limited period of time (the “Discounted Fee Period”), which will be displayed in the Promotion Communication before you decide to upgrade. Selected customers will be able to access this Promotion via the Plan dashboard in their Revolut app and the Promotion Communication.

The Discounted Fee in this Promotion is a fee that is lower than the usual fee payable by customers for the chosen Paid Plan.

These terms and conditions along with the Promotion Communication inviting you to participate in this Promotion (together the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to the Promotion. When participating in this Promotion, you must comply with these Promotion Terms, and also the terms that apply to your Revolut account, including the Personal Terms and the Paid Plan Terms.

This Promotion runs for a defined period of time (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion end date will be clearly set out in the Promotion communication via email, push, inbox, tile or product articles (the “Promotion Communication”).


Who is eligible for this Promotion?

To be considered an “Eligible Participant” for this Promotion you must meet the following “Eligibility Criteria”:

  • Have an account with Revolut Bank UAB (this means you must have passed our Know Your Customer checks and have no restrictions on your account);
  • have successfully joined Revolut Switzerland Payments AG (this means you must have completed additional identity verification checks and provided requested information);
  • have a residential address in Switzerland;
  • have received an invitation from Revolut to participate in the promotion; and
  • Upgrade your Paid Plan with a monthly subscription during the Promotion Period as defined in the Promotion Communication.


How do I start my Discounted Fee Period?

If you are an Eligible Participant, you can start your Discounted Fee Period by following the instructions in the Promotion Communication.

You must accept the Discounted Fee in your Revolut app to start your Discounted Fee Period.


Discounted Fee

During the Discounted Fee Period we will charge you the Discounted Fee. You can see your Discounted Fee at any time in the Plan dashboard section of the app.

After your Discounted Fee Period ends, you will remain on the chosen Paid Plan, on the non-discounted fee, unless you cancel your Paid Plan subscription. This means that normal cancellation and billing rules will apply (see the Paid Plan Terms). Both during the Discounted Fee Period and after the Discounted Fee Period ends, we will take a monthly payment for your Paid Plan as defined in the Promotion Communication.

If you currently have an annual subscription, you’ll receive a refund for the remaining portion of your term.


Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your subscription plan at any time during the Discounted Fee Period without paying any cancellation fees. Card or card delivery charges may still apply. After the Discounted Fee Period ends, standard cancellation rules will apply, including fees for downgrading your Paid Plan subscription (see the “Fees for downgrading your Paid Plan subscription” section of the Paid Plan Terms for more information).


Physical Revolut card

You can order one Revolut card free of charge during your Discounted Fee Period. However, if you decide to cancel your upgraded Paid Plan subscription during your Discounted Fee Period, you will have to pay us the fee for the delivery of the card and the card itself if you ordered a “Metal” or “Ultra” card. You also have to pay a card delivery fee and a fee for the card itself if you order any additional Revolut cards.

What other legal information should I know?

  1. We may change, suspend or end the Promotion earlier than the end date we’ve mentioned above if, in our reasonable opinion, the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation. We may do this on an individual or promotion-wide basis. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of this early suspension or termination.
  2. If we need to change, suspend or end the Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period, we will announce this in the same way the Promotion was announced and, where possible, we will try to give you notice through an email, push notification and/or in-app Inbox message. Any changes to the Promotion Terms will not affect your rights, if you have already participated in the Promotion.
  3. Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination.
  4. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have engaged in any fraud or material abuse of this Promotion (such as for example attempting to obtain an unfair advantage through deception), your Discounted Fee Period will end immediately and you will be charged a portion of your Paid Plan subscription fees corresponding to the period of time used until your Discounted Fee Period ended.
  5. If you close your Revolut Personal account or your account becomes suspended or restricted before we grant you your Discounted Fee Trial, you will lose your entitlement to it.
  6. Revolut needs to process your personal data to perform our obligations under these Promotion Terms. For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Customer Privacy Notice.
  7. These terms are published in English and any translation is a courtesy and an unofficial translation only. Participants of the Promotion cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in any legal proceedings. If, however, by law the local language should be used, the local language shall prevail.
