What is this Promotion about?

Revolut is offering new Personal customers on all Plans (Standard, Plus, Premium, Metal, Ultra) residing in Germany the opportunity to receive up to 2% of the value of each eligible Revolut card transaction (the “Cashback”), subject to a monthly cap of EUR 20 and an overall cap of EUR 120 or currency equivalent (the “Cashback Cap”) for 6 months.

These terms and conditions (the “Promotion Terms”) set out the rules that apply to the Promotion, and you must comply with these Promotion Terms and also the terms and conditions that apply to your Revolut Personal account at all times when participating in the Promotion.

To take part in this Promotion, you must meet the eligibility criteria set out in these Promotion Terms between 01.05.2024 (00:00 CET) and 31.05.2024 (00:00 CET). We call this the “Sign-up Period”. In order to get the Cashback, you must make eligible transactions during the 6 months (not calendar months) following your successful opening of a Revolut account during the Sign-up Period. We call this the “Promotion Period”.


Who is eligible for this Promotion?

You are only considered an “Eligible Participant” if you are a new customer to Revolut residing in Germany and signed-up between 01.05.2024 (00:00 CET) 31.05.2024 (00:00 CET) and pass our Know Your Customer checks with no restrictions on your account. You are considered a new customer if you do not currently hold or have previously held an account with any Revolut entity.


How do I get my Cashback?

You need to make transactions using your Revolut card. We call each of these transactions an "Eligible Transaction". You will earn Cashback at a rate of 2% on all Eligible Transactions. An Eligible Transaction is a payment for goods or services; therefore, if the payment you make is just to another account or payment card (such as an e-wallet, a bank account or a card account) or an ATM withdrawal, we will not treat this as an Eligible Transaction. Please note that gambling transactions or gift card purchases also do not qualify as Eligible Transactions.


The total Cashback you can receive over the Promotion Period is EUR 120 (or currency equivalent) and the Cashback is limited to EUR 20 EUR (or currency equivalent) per month. For the avoidance of doubt, should you already be entitled to any kind of cashback under a specific Plan, this Cashback for Eligible Transactions will be awarded in addition.


Your Cashback will be accumulated during the Promotion Period and credited to your Revolut Personal account weekly until the Promotion Period ends.


What other legal information should I know?

  1. We may change, suspend or end the Promotion earlier than the end date we’ve mentioned above if, in our reasonable opinion, the Promotion is being abused or may negatively affect Revolut’s goodwill or reputation. We may do this on an individual or promotion-wide basis.
  2. If we need to change, suspend or end the Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period, we will announce this via email, push notification and/or in-app Inbox message. Any changes to the Promotion Terms will not affect your rights, if you have already participated in the Promotion.
  3. Revolut will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control which means we are unable to continue running the Promotion as planned. Please contact Support if you believe you qualify for a particular benefit in relation to the Promotion that has not been awarded to you as a result of early suspension or termination.
  4. We reserve the right to reverse the Cashback awarded to you if the payment that earned you the Cashback is refunded to you, you earned the Cashback fraudulently, if you breach the terms that apply to your Revolut Personal account in order to get the Cashback, or if we become aware you were not compliant with these Promotion Terms. We will consider the reversal of the Cashback to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorised by you.
  5. If you close your Revolut Personal account or your account becomes suspended or restricted before we were due to credit your account with the Cashback or between the time of qualifying for the Cashback and receiving it, you will lose your entitlement to the Cashback.
  6. Revolut needs to process your personal data to perform our obligations under these Promotion Terms. For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Customer Privacy Notice.
  7. These terms are published in English and any translation is a courtesy and an unofficial translation only. Participants of the Promotion cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in any legal proceedings. If, however, by law the local language should be used, the local language shall prevail.
  8. This Promotion is organised and offered to you by Revolut Bank UAB, with registered address at Konstitucijos ave. 21B, 08130 Vilnius, the Republic of Lithuania that provides you with your Personal account. If you have a complaint about this Promotion, you can raise it directly with them. To the extent permitted by law, these Promotion Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Despite this, you can still rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules of the EEA country where you live. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in the Republic of Lithuania (or in the courts of any EU Member State where you reside).
